Everyone should watch The Beast with Idris Elba .
Ten minutes in and I was hoping and praying that the lion would eat him and his family .
Awww man , what a film .
Thanks for the heads up . That’s my Saturday night viewing sorted .
Gleason and Cheadle were brilliant if my memory serves .
Yesterday I watched The Trial of the Chicago Seven , newly released on Netflix.
Excellent movie and a true story to boot about the aftermath of an uprising against the war in Vietnam by students...
I’ve just watched Bad Education , with Hugh Jackman starring.
Really good slow burner , a true story about misappropriation of funds at a New York school .
Without spoiling it too much, the amount...
I know .
Who would use language like that in the G&D ?
There were times during the film that I thought I couldn’t continue with it .
Gradually though, the whole story dragged me in and by the end I was engrossed.
Overall , I thought it was excellent .
Really really good .
The single shot thing was perfect IMO and very well executed.
Although it was dizzying at times , it’s definitely one you’d need to see at the cinema .
Watched A Private War recently .
A biopic about Marie Colvin, the Times war journalist .
Mainly about Iraq and Syria and the civilian cost .
Very gritty and uncomfortable viewing but , for me,...
Just a note that this is now available on National Geographic. It’s a stunning film, even if you’re not into rock climbing in any form . There’s also a pre cursor to this called The Dawn Wall , all...
Agreed.
When I first watched it, I was hoping for another 20 minutes for the Idaho trip.
On second viewing I was glad of the ending in that it wasn't all wrapped up . Again, I thought it was Coen...
Finally had a chance to see Three Billboards and I can only add to what has already been said .
It's simply one of the best movies I have ever watched.
The acting is just amazing. If you asked me...
Now that .
Was a film.
True story of a conscientious objector who went to war , against everybody's wishes and came back a war hero. I won't spoil it but it's a stunning film. Mel Gibson would've...
Swiss Army Man.
Probably the strangest film you will watch all year, very surreal . I couldn't even begin to explain the plot but it involve a farting corpse that also produces fresh water from his...
Seconded!
You have to watch it three or four times to pick up all the jokes. Some are very clever and the writers have left out no race, religion or celebrity to insult.
Even the cameos were funny.
Just watched this.
Christ. Where to start.
A truly stunning film, brilliantly observed but horrible to watch.
The black humour that the British are renowned for in adverse moments is more than...
I've watched this a number of times and I echo your review. There are some brilliant one liners throughout the film and it really keeps you hooked. Achingly funny but quite sad too. Excellent...
I've watched 71 and Unbroken recently. Both with Jack O Connell in the lead role.
Two excellent films in their own right, 71 about a young squaddie lost overnight in Belfast with both the IRA and...
Watched The Interview yesterday. It was OK. I think it might need a bit of help getting it to the masses to get it noticed.
St Vincent.
Hilarious in parts, well worth watching.
Excellent parts played by all the cast. Murray is on top form and Naomi Watts is funny as his pregnant "girlfriend"
As we are off to HP World the weekend after next , then we are currently doing the movies. Currently up to the Order of The Phoenix and it's really good fun.
The 100 year old man who fell out of...
Although I haven't seen the film (yet) , the book was fabulous.
Anyway, I've just watched The Judge, Robert Downey Jnr s latest vehicle. Really enjoyed it. Him and Robert Duvall are excellent ....
I've just watched a Jersey Boys, the story of Franky Valli and the Four Seasons.
Most enjoyable.
The Goonies has just finished. Best film ever......
Hilarious.
Not a huge Farrell fan but he is excellent here. Of course , he ll only ever be second best to Brendan Gleeson .
If you haven't seen The Guard , you are definitely missing out.
Loved Nebraska, Some brilliant acting throughout.
Woodys wife, Kate , had me in stitches.
