Nice one, they hold the bottles well. Lots of pro teams use these cages.
Below are photos. Excuse the grime.
Note the cages have multiple mounting options and I have the downtube one at the max height to avoid the problem you have. I would have a look at your cages to...
Those are the cages I use and they have multiple mounting holes/slots to avoid this problem ...
That would annoy me ... have a look at the cages as usually they have different mounting options to allow you to move the one on the down tube towards the head tube ... if not you will need to buy...
I wouldn’t bother upgrading a rim brake bike to di2. Save the money towards a disk brake bike with di2
I know. A couple of friends have had problems with the eTap groups but I’m sure that’s not statistically relevant. Electronic shifting in all flavours are excellent.
I’d never return to...
Once you've have had eTap fail you'd wish you had wires ... that said Di2 shifters are now wireless ...
Seems like an opportunity missed.
I gave up TTing a few years ago, mainly due to the busy courses but also the plateau in performances which was way lower than your level. I did do a UCI masters...
I see Mike was 3rd in the TT. My mate was 6th.
I’d have thought you do that as well.
I see ... I'm sure he was grateful of the wheel ...
Do you think if you and the other GBR guy in 3rd had ridden as a team one of you would have got gold?
Agreed, probably the UKs greatest ever cyclist.
Impressive, well done. Shame about the cleat …
Why no GBR jersey?
I started my TT career on the E72, course now long gone.
It’s utterly mental that races are still held on the E2, that isn’t a road suitable for cycling.
My understanding is TTs are dying a...
I’ve done plenty of TTs, not at your level, and ridden on fast traffic assisted courses which gave unfeasibly fast times but when my mate got mowed down from behind I saw the folly in such...
Well done, did you do the TT the day before?
Note SPDs are often confused with SPD-SLs. They are very different.
Standard SPD with recessed cleats in the shoes. It’s a cheap and effective set up with plenty of float.
Pedals are £20 ish and the metal cleats last for ever.

Sounds fun for off road use.
The bike looks a little small to me … but if it’s comfortable then replication should be a paperwork exercise so no reason to not buy online.
I’d get a bike fit and probably go with the Giant as they can fit you. That Specalized looks too small with a lot of seat post and an odd stem set up.
I have a Canyon and I’d recommend for anyone...
I have stans no tubes fluid in which seals most punctures, sometime if they don’t seal I insert a plug, occasionally if that fails I have to put a tube in.
I’ve done about 40,000 road miles on tubeless and have needed a tube about 5 times. But I still carry a tube.
Interesting. Have you tested it? Would be annoying if it failed when used for the first time on the road side.
