I couldnt even login to HL and AJbell, can't see how the market makers can be blamed for that. Very much looked to me like their servers couldnt handle the demand spike.

I use AJ bell, 95% of trades i make in the app. I have an ISA with them, £9.99 a trade and 0.25% charge on stocks and ETFs. Personally I buy the ishares tracker ETFs at 0.07% annual charge.
