I had one of those for a couple of years. I loved it, my kids though hated it :-)

Picked up this old girl last weekend, 1987 420SL.
Not my first choice of colour but condition wise much better than anything else I've seen.
Makes a really nice noise on kick down but very smooth...

Thanks! It was a Superlight R in Kawasaki green. 1800 rover engine producing 200bhp. Equivalent model now is probably the R400. It was a great car and stunningly quick.
I sold it to buy a 964 RS...
