Good morning. Could anyone make recommendations on the best place to send my newly acquired Orfina PD for a service and new crystal? I’ve used the search forms, tried a chap in the UK who said he...
Thanks gents, I would be a tad nervous using an abrasive to polish the coating off myself I think. It's enough to bug me but not sure if it's enough to risk trying diy removal
Thanks for this, I've just ordered the International slim fit wax thing and saved £75!
Thank you for the info - I'm not really sure what to go for / hunt out! I'm not really that clued up on the movements, so would happily go for either of the Orfina offerings.
I've got a thing for...
Way back home is my favourite. Have you seen the 2 road bike party vids with Danny, Chris Ackrigg and Martyn Ashton - if not check them out
Are you still happy with this? Any shots on the other strap?
I've got an Omega PO with a slight smudge on the AR coating which can be seen in certain lights / angles. Are there any options to have it recoated?

Alternatively could I...
That's really nice what year are these from?
The rider didn't have much personality
It's a hairy (un-paid at most if not all levels) past time. We were at the Goodwood FOS hill when a marshall was killed by a car hitting the finish gantry - a horrible, freak accident
I'm at a juncture where I'm trying to work out if I'm better putting more salary into my (MP) pension pot, over pay the mortgage or take out additional investments (including another rental...
There are some great old interviews with Guy from the NW 200 on youtube. The house that guy built was great, as were a few of the speed episodes and how britain was made.
I wore my first tweed jacket aged 32 - tweed feels like it's generally an acquired thing with age, any young tweedists on here?
You have to have a bit of tweed in the wardrobe! I've only got a few blazers and jackets, but it does mean when Goodwood Revival comes around I can pretty much dress as I would at the weekend.
There are probably numerous solutions to further mitigate the risk, and I will be surprised if there isn't some kind of step taken - I just hope it's not a token gesture.
I dabbled with the original but never quite got it - may give this new one a trial though
The video is breathtaking - how he front flips a fence defies believe. That Bronson looks awesome in those colours as well.
And thank god for escapist videos like this after the depressing news...
After someone identifying the above as the watch I've always quite liked in another thread, does anyone have one that can give me their view?
I'm thinking of replacing an Omega Planet Ocean with...
The 36mm is yes ;0(
We had a quick look but in typical wife fashion she now just wants the Smiths big date even more!!!!!
Orfina - that's the puppy! There are a couple in the US on ebay, any idea what to do to safeguard an inexperienced buyer with a weekend, red wine and internet access in front of him? There are 2 on...
Asking for a cheap watch wouldn't say much!

We both loved the Smiths big date, Eddie says no dice and none to come ;0(
I love this (and the OP's IWC) - what is it?
By the way your hand looks like you're a prize fighter with all that colour!
Really appreciate the input thank you! I think we are going for the Smiths big date - will keep you posted!!
You can give me some pointers on a 70's style drivers watch next - Chopard MM or Tag...
I will go look for Larson & Jennings - thank you.
Also found a thread on the Mondaine watches, which has mixed sentiments but most owners seem quite happy.
