I asked if he could test the sensors one at a time
But he said he couldn’t cos front sub frame would be off

Should I ask him to do a airflow test

There was a burning smell after driving it for about 30 minutes +
Also uses a fair bit fuel and had a little loss of power

It’s in bits at the moment
So am stuck
The owner knows what he is doing but is out on breakdowns a lot
And other young lad sometimes does bits (mot tester)

2 lambda sensors
Front spring

Garage has just said there is 3 cat converters on the car
And the sensors are the wrong size for the hole

Police will only attend if someone is hurt

My son knows the road and it is a bad bend so always go slow but I think the other driver in a big Audi was going a bit faster

So will he still get a full payout for the value of the car approx £600
Or will it be a reduced payout

Deep down I agreed with the insurance
But I was hoping there might have been something in his favour

Unfortunately there was no road markings as it was on a housing estate road and my son was about 20 ft from home

The witness was about 30ft from the accident when it happened
He heard the crash...

I thought it might have been different as the other driver was over taking parked vehicles and on the wrong side of the road
On the other hand it was on a bend

My son had a crash in his car shortly after passing his test
It was at about 10 mph head on as he was coming home in the housing estate

And a big plug in one
I think he used the plug in one though

Test was done on a proper diagnostic machine
I think it was the oxygen sensor at first
Then it looked like all 3 sensors
Going to ask him to do 1 at a time and see if that clears it
Will keep...

What reading will I get if it’s broke
