Just watched the new Godzilla... wasn't hugely impressed. The effects were nice enough, but beyond that I couldn't see the point; I much prefer the Ishiro Honda ones from the 50s and 60s :)
I watched Watchmen again the other night... it was very good, but had some weird animation in it about pirates that I don't remember from the last time - I think it may be some cut other than the...

Lego Movie. Best. Movie. Ever ;)
The Machine. A good film - almost a great film. British made on a shoestring budget. Shades of Blade Runner and Frankenstein :)

About the only good thing in it was Emma Watson beating up Seth Rogen.
I was surprised that the lad in it was British! Also quite pleased that he got to snog all of the good looking women in the film AND stick his face in Jennifer Aniston's boobs ;)
I really liked it - there are plot holes certainly, but also Carol Marcus in her pants.
I wanted to enjoy it, but just couldn't... the premise was transparent from early on, but given that premise another major plot point falls over. I did very much like the drones and the helicoptery...
I watched Oblivion last night... so no, not seen any good movies recently ;)
