Can't believe I never watched Still Crazy until today... Beautiful, brilliant, heart-breaking and heart-lifting...
King Arthur. Much better than expected!
Just watched a most terrifying movie... The Big Short.
'A Time to Kill'. Quite exceptional.
The Third Man - never watched it until now for some reason. Am I glad to have given it a chance! What an exceptional piece of cinematography!
A walk among the tombstones - enjoyed it more than the imdb ratings would suggest.
The Grand Seduction. Very, very amusing.
Divorzio all'italiana - for some reason I haven't watched it until now.
Outrageously amusing and highly recommended! Will visit South Italy this summer, and I'm curious if it still is somewhat as...
I'm afraid I enjoyed both of them! :)
2 Guns - very entertaining, with the two lead actors' chemistry ensuring 90% of the flow.
Will watch in the next couple of weeks, looking forward to it.
Otherwise, I've watched Gravity at the local IMAX - excellent movie, disregarding the fact that I got very, very dizzy a couple of...
Europa Report - one of the best films I have seen in years. I've never expected it to impress me so strongly, thought it's just another SF. Boy, was I wrong...
PS: Just noticed that it's rated...
Olympus has fallen - great unintentional comedy.
Place beyond the pines - an American film like a Russian book (that was a compliment, if in doubt).
Saw it due to your recommendation - many thanks. Exquisite indeed. And Mrs. Lawrence is a most rara avis.
Pain & Gain - howling good, the latest Star Trek - surprisingly good, The Bank Dick (W. C. Fields...) - beyond adjectives :))
Killing them softly - it's so bitter and cold that it's hard to really like it, but it certainly is a most exceptional movie.
The Master - more than 2 hours of intellectual masturbation. The so very, very insightful music was possibly the most annoying part of this artsy-fartsy production.
Argo - good cinematography, decent script.
Bang Boom Bang - classic German comedy. Funny, in a German way.
Thoroughly enjoyed Quartet. Was dragged to watch it while visiting Vienna, am very glad though that it happened.
Each of the actors has more talent than the entire cast of some recent...
Puss in boots - well done, unexpectedly amusing.
Dredd - very well done, impressive. If the hero would have had a minimal mimic, it would've been even more convincing.
The Three Musketeers -...
I also like it, a lot. An unusually discreet manner to present a very hard content.
Bumping up the thread with a guilty confession: I completely enjoyed watching 'The Hobbit'. But I'm a fantasy geek and therefore much biased.
Not a movie but a (very) British series - Call the midwife. Marvellous! My wife and I were hugely impressed by the script, the acting, the atmosphere and most of all by its humanity...
My wife...
