Thanks Goat - yes I’ve been doing some ‘googling’ and I believe Titanic also had triple expansion steam engines. I should probably have mentioned the size of it since it’s hard to judge scale from a...
Sadly my Dad died a few years ago, rather unexpectedly at the not so ripe old age of 71. He was an avid sailer and engineer amongst other hobbies and I've been gradually going through some of the...
I also don’t enjoy being layered up in multiple or over thick suits. Having dove in 15 ish countries I know what I like, and it’s warm water! Preferably 30° plus. It’s not just about the cold either.
Thanks chaps, will definitely take a drive to Bonifacio - it’s only 40 minutes from the villa! I just wish the sea was a bit warmer... at only 16° it’s too chilly for me to enjoy the diving. Although...
Great, thanks for advice! It’s a bit off the beaten track for Brit tourists it seems.
As per thread title, currently sunning myself in a beach front villa - Pallombaggia (SE of the island) Tried some diving yesterday but decided the water isn’t up to temperature yet so looking for...
I don’t know if anyone has suggested these guys yet:

I’ve purchased a number of torches from them and the customer service is excellent. I initially...
I’ve enjoyed all the Fallout series of games and despite the slating (mostly deserved) that F76 as had I’d say it’s worth trying now it’s not the £60 I paid. Even if you just explore the map, which...
Happy Christmas! Yen or Triss? Don’t be greedy! Also, the choices in this game (even quite early on) really do influence the final outcome, you’ve been warned!
Enjoy it.
This. I think the W3 is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played, incredibly well written and superbly crafted. You need to give it another go, as it does take a bit of time to get into. Go...
Yes! Very, very wrong. I slaughtered them both and burned the house/bodies for good measure.
Now playing F76...
As others have said - GSHP is the way to go. It’s expensive to instal and makes a mess of the garden but once that’s done you can sit back and enjoy ‘free’ hot water, heating and in my case the RHI...
The builder is correct.
But it doesn’t need to painted - both skirting and silicone are white. Caulk will split and look terrible.
[edit] Obviously if the skirting isn’t staying white then that’s a problem.
[QUOTE=hilly10;4887843]
Absolutely this. Don’t use caulk, use a decent white silicone since fortunately the skirting is also white so you’ll not have an issue matching the colour. You don’t even...
Thats a lovely old pistol, looks to be a great condition too. I have one thats very similar (Premier?) in .22, unfortunately as a youth I left it outside in the rain overnight so it has a certain...

We’ve a five month old and she’s a joy, but definitely changed our lives! One thing that’s already been mentioned is the NCT course - well worth it. Also, and this is a biggy..
Don’t be bullied...
That’s what’s I’ve done every time (three visits so far) never an issue
That’s exactly how I read the title.... first time!
Turns out it is advice on shotguns, not Mitsubishi’s Don’t ask me for advice - my first shotgun was £60 lol
Seems like a pyramid scheme to me, I’m heartily sick of the guy who keeps badgering me to ‘join up’. Sorry, bit grumpy today.
If you want an easy fix, try this:

That's pretty dreadful. Although Mrs Zen was an accountant (tax specialist) and can pull together a highly detailed set of accounts no problem at all. She is however, terrible at simple mental...
Use EVO Stik contact adhesive and take your time, it’s not that difficult. Helps if you can overhang the veneer and only need to have one ‘straight edge’ to but up against.
Edited to say that...
