    Re: Size of Smiths W10

Is it too late to ask for the luminous material to be yellow/ivory or white instead of green?

    Re: Vanguard info please

22mm lug width is fine. 34mm dress oyster date models had a lug width of 19mm. This Seiko model of 38.5-39mm diameter has lug width of 22mm. works very nicely....

    Re: Size of Smiths W10

I would prefer an acrylic crystal please :)
both for reasons of price and aesthetics.
btw, is it possible to have the numerals in yellow vintage colored lume instead of the regular green?

    Re: Size of Smiths W10

I would like 20mm lug width best. Is it possible to build a watch around that requirement? :)
I think 39mm would be a good size. Anything smaller would be too small, and larger, might look too...

    Re: 17C 'Mission Timer'?

Do you by any chance know if the Valijoux 7750 version is larger than the Lemania? it's listed as 39.5mm. Wasn't the Lemania 38.5mm?

    Thanks.

    Re: CWC 7760 chrono

that's how the movement is. it takes some modification to move the minute counter to 3 o clock, which adds some expense probably. Tutima and Hanhart do it too for their similar models.

    Re: Tutima Flieger advice?

it's an excellent model and a really good deal usually if you buy it used. Many people prefer larger models these days. So you get an excellent ETA 2892 and a great bracelet. it's really quite...

Re: Vintage Rolex 5513 questions and advice pls

smart of you to check out the lugs and notice the spring bars sticking out. you're right that it's best to look for a less abused case. but what's the point of pointing it out to a salesperson...

Re: the SpeedBUbird 3 - pics and comments

the MK XV has 19mm lug width, so I am pretty sure the XII has 18mm.
the curved end bands look nice, but I have some reservations as to their security relative to the regular straight...

    Poll: Re: New PRS-14?

The main thing I would ask for in a re-issued PRS-14 is a thinner case. lovely watch but it was just much too top heavy for me.
A wider case to accomodate a larger dial and hands would be nice...

excellent comparison . they both look very good I must say.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to put the Yao dial from the Quad 10 into the Speedbird III case? I think that would look...

Re: Speaking of Bell & Ross...

I think B & R makes really good stuff. the early models that Sinn made for them were not as well finished as the later models that they made themselves. comparing one of the Vintage series models...

Re: help with friends seamaster 300

hands look to have been repainted at some point and the lume on dial is pretty shot, water damaged maybe? I know some people like that "original" look but to me it looks trashed. case looks good...

Re: New PRS-3: a bit of a conundrum

  17. Re: will any of the CWC RN homages be remade as Precistas?

that's great news. PRS-3 was a great watch but the dial was pretty small. I think this was in large part due to the wide spacer between the edge of the dial and the edge of crystal. in any case a...

Good looking model. A little too chunky maybe compared to the actual oyster case. surprised and pleased that the diameter is staying at a reasonable range. I was sure it would be a 44mm watch like...

    Re: 17C 'Mission Timer'?

great looking dials proposed but I think the original case used has become too small for it. something in the 40-42mm diameter would be best now.

Re: Vintage Tudor Submariner - kosher or not?

I think the dealer is being a bit disingenuous declaring it as all original. sure the parts may be all Tudor/Rolex, but the watch was not originally sold like that. the dial and hands are...
