There are only 2 Rolex AD’s in Edinburgh- Laing’s and Hamilton & Inches both in close proximity.
Not much inventory in either AD the last time I was there, although they both have some exhibition...
Congratulations!

No harm in asking, I walked into an AD and got a Sub date.

Some mentioned payment by bank transfer, some say they paid by card. Apparently the card payments may have been processed by a third party if this is the case section 75 protection in the event of...
Not personally, but there has been a number of people on some of the Facebook pages getting the call. They have been having to pay anything from 50% to 100% and will collect the watches when AD’s...

This was listed at over £50k in June/July.

Scratched crystal doesn’t warrant a service, on the other hand a shattered crystal service would be required.

Have you tried Laing's or Hamilton & Inches?

I'm also looking at a lady date just but with the black diamond dot dial. While making enquiries I found out that the AD in Aberdeen and Dundee has the pink diamond dot dial in stock.

You may encounter an added obstacle in your pursuit...... some AD's will not add people that are not local to waiting lists/notes of interest for the professional steel models.

I have managed to obtain a discount over the phone from an AD I've had previous dealings with.
Service is only useful if you're planning on keeping the watch long term.

No AD will offer discount, you will have to negotiate it.
Phone or even better visit a few local AD's in person and see what they are willing to do for you.
Good luck!

I picked up my Sd50 last weekend. AD put the watch in a medium box, but it wouldn't close properly.
They managed to find me a large box....
Picked mine up at the weekend. AD called me last Wednesday to let me know when it would be in. They didn't even want a deposit from me, but I insisted to make sure it wouldn't be sold to the next...
Congrats, wear in good health. Great pick up,a beast of a watch.

Was it purchased brand new or pre owned? If it was brand new and you paid for it by credit card you may be able to make claim under section 75.

Try a grey/pre owned dealer for a quick sale probably get a better price,or if you can wait sell privately.
