Result - called to cancel and they halved the price!

Is there any downside to cancelling? I'm currently without contract. If I cancel and then reinstate before the notice period, they can't commit me to a contract, can they?

I forgot all about calling them until a few days ago. They've flat out refused to honour the deal they offered a month or so before. Wondering if I should cancel...
