I'm not sure why you lot can't just specify the date when you state the Sunday in the first place - 'I'll see you on Sunday the 25th'. If your friends get confused with that, they really need more...

here as well. Seems there are more than a few odd-bods around!
Done, looks interesting.
heaven know's he's miserable now..... (I'll get me coat)
If the Casio is too big, look at the Timex Expeditions or even see if they have the Lorus Lumibrite (Argos catalogue number 253/5975) - I'm sure this would appeal to a kid and isn't oversized either....
Not that I had anything to do with which section that film appears in, however I thought it was a brilliant, intentionally black, comedy myself :devilish:
That said, I am often accused of having a...
Q: How many watches should I aim to own?
A: ALL of them!
I had never really seen one of these before - I really do like the clear lines (ie NOT plain!) and balanced look of the watch. And those movement photos!! Nice quality pictures, and even nicer...
Glad to hear these old timepieces have been getting some attention.
Any pictures post works? We all love a picture or 3 :smug:
:eagerness: Excellent! I actually called the wife in to have a look at these pictures to get an idea of what you manage to achieve. Even she was impressed (and she really isn't interested in pretty...
Lovely job there, really looks to have been well worth the time and effort clearly put into this. Good choice you made.
Paul, makes me shiver in anticipation!
I generally wear mine on the left as well. However if I am to be writing a lot, or depending on which side of the pc the mouse is, I can happily switch it to the right hand. A watchstrap can be...
I think you might be referring to Infected Mushroom. Definitely worth adding to the 'possibles' list here.
Could be! I didn't realise minute hands were meant to be bent on the end. I haven't got anywhere near opening this watch - and don't think I am going to be. The back on the 2 seamasters just don't...
Neither of the uncles was in the forces, although her dad was. As none of the women left ever paid attention to worthless things like watches  no-one is sure who it belonged to. So it...
BER = beyond economic repair I guess? (Only thing that seems to fit :highly_amused:)
I agree, that was the only one I had considered really trying much cleaning up on. The other 2 would get a...
That was kind of what I assumed really, and pretty much mirrors my personal inclination anyway! I like Omega's and I don't know Roamers, so guess where the money will go then! Fortunately, no-one...
Cheers Kev - yep, same little rattie bugger! :sulkiness:
I have put this up over there as well, so I look forward to the comments then.
Cheers Neil
Thanks for the input. And after a closer look you're right, that is an Omega horseshoe on the glass. Never even thought of looking for that!
The final watch in this lot. I know nothing about Roamer as a brand whatsoever. Is it at all desireable even?
This is a gold watch as opposed to the other 2 being steel. Amazingly, this one also...
As you can see the minute hand has come loose. Looking closely, the loose hand looks bent up at the tip as well? There is also quite a nasty scratch on the back - obviously from removing a strap.

Oh, here is another pic which does show the face slightly differently

Quite a chunky watch this. The winder pulls out but won't move the hands at all. Strangely enough though, the second hand starts going as soon as you move the watch!
I have tried to open the back...
I very recently was handed a few watches by my wife - inherited from her late uncles recently. There are 2 Omegas and a Roamer included, without straps, and these have obviously not been looked after...
Ha! Funnily enough I bought a 007J a couple of weeks ago as well - first thing I did was to put it on a mesh too (wjean one).
It really is a great looking watch isn't it.
