The problem isn’t just his son...there used to be quite a lot of information on the internet about Mr Thorpe and his earlier life as a jeweller; strangely it seems to have disappeared. Shame...

I’d guess that the suspicion/dislike of Paul Thorpe has little to do with his social background and a lot to do with good judgement.

Sounds very hopeful...and no ceramic bezel. They’ve honoured the history. I was fancying a 321, but this looks a good alternative.

Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. Has been for many years. His obsessive use of the term ‘trustworthy’ is a bit of a give away. I’d stay well away.

There is no substitute for human speech. And not wishing to talk to other people is quite worrying . It’s far more effective than any text, and far quicker. I’d be wary of anyone unwilling to speak...

Don’t forget the spring-drive, which offers quartz like precision with no need for a battery, and plenty of nice mechanical parts. To me, Grand Seiko is best at these type of designs, which are more...

I’m too obsessive to risk a device like that. I’d be measuring every day, maybe several times a day. So, best avoided. In fact I no longer time watches. Just reset every few weeks. More relaxing.
