Re: Ladie's Datejust - An idiots guide?

I have been faced with this situation until this week, when I bought the gf a datejust.
If there is a guide out there to all the variations, I couldn't find it; and yes it is confusing.

    Stretch

    Advice required please.
I'm assuming that stretch on a bracelet is measured by holding the watch with the face vertical, and letting the bracelet 'hang' horizontally, then measuring how far it...

Re: Watch sales on ebay, people robbing photos.

Once saw a listing on Ebay (for a watch as it happens) where the seller had used the photo from a still current listing of another seller.
It beggars belief that they would think that buyers...

    no go areas

Ok, let me say straight off, I like SS sports watches.
I think gold or even TT is too bling for me.... but I would wear it.
I like uncluttered dials, and therefore dislike sub dials, however I have...

Re: Acceptable levels of time loss

Slightly OT but how far do the membership 'allow' their watches to drift from accurate?
I'm more than happy at + 1.5 sec per day, but start to itch once it's more than a minute fast.
    Is it just me?
  9. Re: New member, directed here in search for new watch.

IIRC from my pre 50 post days, you can't browse SC.
In the mean time the OP would do well to involve himself in the forums open to him, who knows he may see something he hadn't considered, and change...

Me too now, I've just taken the bolt cutters to one of mine.

Hope no-one comes up with a reason to keep both.

Suprised that so many agree with me on this one, but the Daytona would have to go for me as well.

Haven't got any Pink shirts, though after reading this thread may have to try one; but I have Charles Tyrwhitt, Lewin etc...

    Re: 5 ring nato's

Thanks for the reply, I hadn't thought about the balancing out of the look of the strap, but I guess that must be it, unless anyone else has any other theories.

Is that really only 2mm undersized  Think I'll have to keep looking for a 22mm if that's the case.
  17. Re: Let's hear it for Eddie's YAB (and see yer pitchers)

Suits both, but looks particularly good on the GMT.
Only available up to 20mm though I understand.
Has anyone any photos of an understrapped watch, ie 20mm on a 22mm lug , 18mm on a 20mm, how good...

    5 ring nato's

Why do some '5 ring ' natos have a second ring on the end of the short strap?
I have straps with both one, and two rings, but can't see the point of the second one.
Am I missing something here, or...
