Tried it against a Montblanc (which I couldn't see in the exceptions) but it doesn't seem to work for me.
Thanks anyway :)

Interesting design, but the visible date wheel is just too busy :(
Really nice collection. Like them all, but the VC is my favourite.
Great looking watch - and a belated happy birthday!
Thank you for all the replies, and the great photos, much appreciated.
I have taken some time to think about it. Ultimately i decided it had to be the Reverso.
Need/want/must purchase a dress watch to wear everyday with a suit and tie, and the DJ when the odd occasion demands it.
Have decided that it is going to be a JLC, as I have hankered after a watch...
I would have a look at a Conway Stewart Winston or Churchill, and maybe the Onoto pens as well.
It is well worth having a dig around at FPN, and on google as there is some pretty exotic stuff out...
I wanted the XFR but ended up buying the S4.
A multitude of reasons. S4 was more comfortable up front, had more room in the back, is a quattro and the other half found it easier to drive. The XFR...
Keeping the left field theme, how about a Piaget Altiplano? In house manufacture I believe, ultra thin, very dressy..
Great thread, thanks ASW.
That GP flyback chrono is very pretty indeed.
Great collection - both IWC's are fantastic!
I am afraid I am no expert, but it is worth having a hunt around here...

Seem a friendly bunch, happy to offer...
Great collection!
I agree with your comments about a high end dress watch - how about something like a JLC 1931 reverso ultra thin in rose gold?
Appreciate that doesnt have a date but I think...
Anything Breguet is pretty special, but that is stunning - thanks for the pics!
I never thought I'd say this, but having gone from a Navitimer daily wearer (40mm I think) to a Rolex vintage oysterdate precision (34mm) and then to my holiday wear Exp II 42mm, I am a smaller watch...
I had a S with a JCW pack a few years back.
Pro's : pretty quick, looked fantastic, and handled ok.
Con's : everything seemed expensive to fix, the run flat tyres were a nightmare (ride used to...
prices seem steep to me.
thats a nice watch and a good price. Been a customer of crouchs (and Ron particularly) since a bought a Navitimer from him in about 2000 and had great service (they were in st marys street back then!)
Conway Stewart fountain pens
Daytonas just do not do it for me. It's pedantic I know but the lack of a date makes it somehow incomplete. On that basis I would keep the SD.
<ducks and sprints for cover> :)
I have had Pink shirts in the past. Lovely piece of clothing.
Unfortunately I have found the sleeves a bit short and the tailoring a bit "tailored" even on their regular sized shirts, so it's...
Great post, thanks for sharing.
That GP looks a bit different.
The Hamilton for me.. :D
Thanks C - I will have a look at it, although the watch is so pristine, it is fair to say I am a bit nervous about having a learning curve on this watch! :D
+1 on this. I had a Fox as a daily driver since 2007 until a month ago. It never set the world on fire but it was absolutely reliable.
