It's very nice indeed, very smooth.
What I'd recommend if you like Jura is something like Coal Ila or Glendfiddich 15/18yo which you can often get on special at Tescos.
Bought a Nadurra yesterday, very nice and drinkable! Have also been given a Glen Moray and GlenKinchir for me birthday. When l was up at St Andrews this week also tried a whisky that was finished by...
There's also the Balvenie Signature for £25 from Tesco too! :)
Tried the Jura end of last week and not a big fan, the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is another matter. £29 from Tescos at present and a wonderfully complex malt with dark chocolate coming through and...
anyone know if jura is still on at this price please?
ill answer it myself...yes it is!
Aye.. as far as I know.
Good luck.
I'd tend to agree, i can't enjoy anything too earthy I'm afraid.
On a side note I only live 90 minutes from the Bushmills distillery although I've never visited!!
I agree about the...
They have this on offer for a little over £20 in Tesco at the moment. I was tempted to buy some but have promised my other half to buy no more whisky :(
Correct.
I've just done a...
Is the Scottish Malt Whisky Society worth joining? It's seems a bit steep to pay £100 for being allowed to buy £45 bottles of whisky!
Aye, well that damn glass is now responsible for me buying some more whisky today!
Caol Ila today, very nice and complex. Plan to get the Dalwhinnie 15yo tomorrow at £25!...
I tasted the Scapa 16 at a Scotch Malt Whisky Society event. I wrote some notes somewhere, but I remember thinking it was a winner. Sweet and complex.
Aye the Scapa is my firm favourite!...
Nice diversity. Sometimes you want a light sipper, other times you need the peat!
Cheers!
Cheers, the funny thing is the total contrast between the Scapa and Highland Park even though...
Mine aren't as impressive, but:
Open
Scapa 16yo
Highland Park 12yo
Glenfiddich 15yo
Glenlivet 18yo
Talisker 10yo
Macallan 10yo
Aye it's very fine chilled! ;)
Nope, that's a Bourbon!
Nope the single barrel is a Whiskey. Check it ;)
It may be a Whiskey, but it's nae a Whisky! Americans and Irish can't make Whisky, they make Whiskey!...
Nope, that's a Bourbon!
I'd recommend you keep it mate, check the prices out on eBay, my wee brother who works for Glenlivet has recommended that I buy some as it will become an investment. You can still buy it from...

You would probably like Highland Park 12 or 18. It's a nice balance of light smoke and sherry cask sweetness. It's well balanced and smooth. If you want to skip the smoke, you could get a...
Try the Scapa 16yo mate, a true Orcadian's dream! 8)
Scapa 16YO Single Malt or Penderyn. The Chivas Royal Salute is OK too! 8)
