Re: Luxury items - priced out of reach?

I think the key term here is 'luxury'. As you earn more and accrue more stuff, you start to look for the things that are just out of reach and wonder why you can't have them. Not too long ago, an...

  3. Poll: Re: Rolex GMT2, GMT2C or GMT Owners club. Pics please! :-)

    GMT II C

Purely on the basis that that's the one I own. I wouldn't mind a Pepsi version from 1975, though 8)

    Re: Heads up bbc1 now

Such a brilliant film and one I could easily watch every day and never get bored 8) It's a brilliant series to be honest. I even enjoyed 'Crystal Skull', although it isn't as good as the others.

    Really gorgeous Polaris!

I've got a LLD, but I'd swap it in a heartbeat for the Polaris (it would have to be a straight swap, with no cash from me  )

Re: taxi transfer from JFK recommendation

In the past, we've just got a cab. The fares are restricted to $50, plus tolls, so it's was about $55 each way in January.

Re: Go on then - what have you bought her?

Pajamas and German lessons. She's also getting a personalised pen case from our 2-y-o daughter to go with with the Tiffany pen I gave her a few weeks ago (it was a gift to me, but I'll never use).

Re: three best christmas pop songs

For pop, I'd probably have to go for:

    1. All I want for Christmas is you - Mariah Carey
    2. Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl
    3. Santa Baby - Kylie Minogue

    Sad, I know,...
