I´ve just yesterday received a watch to me here in The Netherlands from the USA. I was faced with the same issues regarding import taxes and insurance. FedEx I believe only insure watches up to a...
Excellent work, they both look fantastic! But if I had to choose it would be the one with the raised hour markers.
I had same issue once so I booked a cheap flight and picked it up in person for less money than the insured postal quote!
Here´s a couple:

Only a couple of minutes walk between the two and worth a look.
Prices however can be a little eye watering!
Very nice example you´ve got there and it looks to be in excellent shape too.
I tried on the Ti version last week and was very impressed with the design and build quality. The AD unfortunately didn't have the steel version in. I say unfortunately but perhaps it was a blessing...
Very useful to have an extract for an early series Seamaster 300, a lot of these have had the movements swapped out as the same calibres were used across a wide range of different models in the 50s...
110 pounds does seem very reasonable for a nylon NATO, I think I´ll get two.
Based on your two examples then I would have to say that there have been 165014s fitted with, at some point, sword hands ;)
But getting back to the point of which reference of Seamaster 300 the...
Well, to start with I don't claim to be an expert, but to try to answer what I think your questions are..
Regarding the German advert shown of the 165.014 with the small arrow hands and shark...
Some people here seem to be understandably a little confused about the original version of the CK 2913 Seamaster 300 and where the design cues are coming from in the new version.
Here are all...
The original flat link steel bracelets that came with the CK 2913 would have had polished outer links with a contrasting brushed finish on the centre links. So actually polished links on a divers...
Here's a few of mine, with warts and all!

Wow, superb watch in excellent condition, perhaps the nicest Legend I have ever seen.
Really nice January catch! It looks like it will be a good 2014 for you!
If you are thinking about using the movement from the Constellation as a starting point for a rebuild SM 300 then you are starting on the wrong foot.
The Constellation should have a cal 561 or 564...
That looks really good! And that sure is a lot of watch for the money. Enjoy!
Very nice indeed, the quality is clear to see. I always cringe when I see those awful converted Lidl tea boxes on here housing sometimes thousands in watches!
The seller being happy or not is hardly relevant, the watch is a frankenwatch, a fake Constellation. I have not seen the original listing, but a put together is a put together. The only value is...
Now that's a nice one!
I would return on the basis that this is now not and has never been an Omega model, it is at best a Frankenwatch, with a cal 565 non-chronometer movement, made to deceive the inexperienced buyer into...
Looks to me like a 565 Seamaster or Geneve that has had an awful redial, Conslellalion!? Dial itself looks like it has been pressed into a piepanish shape, I'm sure the medallion is not original to...
Bingo!
I don't have everything on 1 picture, but here's a couple of groups anyway.

Any recommendations for watch shopping in Bristol and surrounding area? I'm more interested in vintage, so any ADs or jewellers that stock second hand watches would also be of interest.
Thanks in...
