Not really anything grand or interesting, but picked up this solar Seiko a while back for an absolute steal (I've been offered more than double what I paid for it)
Won't ever sell this it's just...
I've beaten Sir Chris Hoy in competitive races (although he wasn't a Sir at that point)
I talked with the Queen and Prince Philip about the historical development of watches (Philip was surprisingly...
10/10 But I didn't have a clue on Havisham question that was just a very lucky guess
I would say that looks more like 1919 than 1944
Would have been quicker to list what is included ^^^^^^
I can't see one on the parts list, only the full size links.
You could phone St James ? I'm sure they would offer a definitive answer
I'd just get them to replace the insert when its in for a service
Simply put, if you are happy paying over list for a new watch, then don't ever complain about the availability of a watch at retail.
Agreed, I can't help but feel they have missed an opportunity with this

You can request that they don't refinish the watch, just make sure that they are very clear about it in the instructions.
It will need to be an authorised service centre, that part isn't available to the standard retail accounts

For me I think the ploprof edges it, although in titanium I'd go with the orange bezel for the full insanity
The journal tab on the Collected man website as some really good articles
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but the reverse would also apply. If retailers were completely free to set prices then you would have almost zero chance of picking up that desirable Rolex...

1917 Brook & Son SUBMARINE
I think most of my early experience with films I was probably too young for came from watching Moviedrome.
Some that stuck in my mind were,
The Wicker Man
The Fly
Assault on Precinct 13
An...
That reminds me of the Swiss Icons watch that Moser presented a couple of years ago

I've never really understood why Panerai keeps peddling misinformation and outright lies when it does have some genuinely interesting history that it could use.
The watches only ever appear to have been sold by Brook & Son from their shop in Edinburgh. Unfortunately they ceased trading at the end of the 1940s so there is very little in the way of archives to...
My plan is to do a more in depth thread about it in the new year once I can properly pull it apart and get better pictures and get it cleaned and running again.
Being interested in the development...
