I think it looks first rate with the watchobsession Ballistic Nylon it really suits the watch. I think the white stitching overpowers the watch itself.
I was looking at the caseback of the G10 at this URL http://www.mwcwatches.com/product_info.php?imagesID=40&osCsid=defqf3adj1qvf136h5hep3vpj7&products_id=46 or their...
You get a quick glimpse before the picture goes but it looks hideous - god knows what it is!
I have always liked the Seiko Chrono and they are getting costly now if they are in good condition and are becoming hard to find. A friend got one from Chronomaster but looking at his site today they...
It is interesting what you said "I'm a newbie when it comes to watches, in fact I'd never even worn a watch until 6 odd weeks ago. Once bitten though, I needed to expand!" I was talking to a jeweller...
I agree that Neil at Chronomaster is a good choice (will he ever update that site!) I bought an IWC from him some years back and a friend got a RAF Seiko last year and both transactions were hassle...
I am not sure how it can be said that MWC copy CWC because CWC do not make GTLS / Tritium watches nor screw case and screw crown G10 models or auto G10 models nor recreations of old designs such as...
Really? As ex military myself I have always found http://www.arrse.co.uk/ very unbiased and have tended to give good advice see http://www.arrse.co.uk/content/section/ ... views.html you must be...
They do not claim to be MOD issue as far as I know but I was checking around the web generally and this review is interesting...
I have a O&W Cougar diver a few years back and found it to be a good sound watch which ran well for the two or three years I had it. I have quite a few watches so it was not used daily but it was...
The quartz is a nice looking watch and I saw one on eBay and was pretty tempted.
I have seen this image on the web before and it is from a basic G10A which is under £30 on eBay so a basically cheap watch I am sure a similar movement must be used in the quartz Vietnam which is...
These are really nice and it would have to be a 3H for me too. A friend got a Ray Wong version but for the price it was not that great and having handled an original some years back it did not feel...
I tend to favour GTLS when it comes to divers watches and this limits me to the Marathon or the MWC both of which are fitted with Tritium vials. I had a Traser P6506 which was a great watch but just...
I prefer the Marathon personally but having owned CWC divers I can't say I have had any negative experiences so I would recommend them from any year. Just make sure if it is secondhand it is pressure...
These all look very nice examples I have a couple of CWC G10s and I tend to prefer the battery hatch models. I have to say the leather straps on this look quite nice.
I have found them very high and mighty and unpleasant to deal with so I would be loathed to buy another CWC. Frankly the support is poor and they act like they are doing you a favour. Not sure why...
I agree they are hideous but I guess whatever floats your boat (or U Boat!)
I think the fundamental problem is if you take a site down in the morning and they will have a new one up by the afternoon. It is the fakes of watches such as Royal Navy Rolex Subs that worries me...
The whole thing looks wrong even the way the casemarkings appear. The problem is that unless you know the brand how would you know if you went to a watch fair or bought on eBay? I have never seen a...
I have always found the ones from Silvermans to be pretty good see http://www.silvermans.co.uk/ProductDeta ... fault.aspx
It would be very amusing wouldn't it! We had a good laugh at the thought.
Thanks for pointing that out. I obviously was not expecting this to go on and on but if everyone keeps posting replies what can I do? My preference is to let it die and I can start posting about...
I hope you are not referring to my CWC's I mentioned earlier!
He's only got knackered copy military ones which don't work very well, so not a chance [/quote]
