Re: Dress watches

I've mainly worn sports watches for the past several years (see my sig), but my recently procured vintage Omega has really changed my mind about dress watches. I foresee a few more entering my...

Re: Michael Schumacher back in F1

Shame, would have been fun to watch.
3. Re: Help needed! Having a really hard time here.

I prefer the BR03 myself, but of those you posted, definitely the first.
4. Re: What watch/clock/device do you set your watches to?

Slightly ridiculous perhaps, but during term-time I set them according to the school bells. I don't know what clock those are based on, but it's not particularly accurate and I'd rather rely on my...

Re: Watches in F1 - Mark Webber

I suppose when the teams spend millions shaving every last gram off the car, it seems silly to put on 200g automatic which they'll hardly have the opportunity to look at during a race anyway......

Re: Member's Cars

I also drive a Jaguar X-Type. I'm wearing my Omega Seamaster Chronograph today... have been wearing the Omega for the past couple of weeks actually. Great daily beater.

Re: Starting my watch collection Help

Thanks for the Breitling JP link, there goes my strap budget!

Agree with previous posts - Breitlings are very nice and the different models are distinct enough to make it worth trying them all on....

Re: Wearing a Seamaster 2254.50

Well, except for the lens elements obviously... and for me that corresponds to the crystal. I don't like a scratched up crystal, especially if it's got an AR coat.

Watches in F1 - Mark Webber

Thought this was interesting - not surprising, but insightful about sponsors and who wears their watch.

Fast forward to 13:45 when he...

Re: Breitling Bezels

Particularly important with Breitlings as the AR is typically easier to scuff than the sapphire crystal. Nice photo of the Steelfish.

Re: Windows 7

It would be ironic to run XP within a virtual machine from Windows 7 running within a virtual machine on OS X.

Re: Windows 7

Is it fully backwards compatible with XP / Vista? Wondering if it's worth putting on my iMac with Parallels.
14. Re: Another Longines - Unusual Vernier seconds Chronograph

That's what I would have thought... but then if it's 28.8kbph or 21.6kbph then would the chronograph hand then be accurate to less than 1/10s? I suppose the Vernier scale does still mean it will be...

Re: Windows 7

We use Vista at work and I have it on my work laptop, but I've stuck with XP on my home laptops and OS X on my iMac. Haven't tried Windows 7 but most of the people I know who have say it's better...

Re: Sumo - got new "contacts" - Sapphire AR

I bough it second hand but ..., you can ask him (Harold) at yobokies@yahoo.com.hk
I hope it helps,
M
Cheers for that - I'll pop him an email. Would definitely love to get AR on a...

Re: Breitling Bezels

That Colt has a very similar bezel to my Steelfish - I've had no problems with mine apart from losing a screw. From the front, it looks fine... and I wore it as a daily wear for several months and...

Re: My Final Fanatsy..

Not a FF fan myself, but I thought the concept watch looked kind of cool (the one on top):

Re: How many sales posts?????

Why don't you test the rules and find out which one works?

Eddie
I don't have enough watches to test that one, certainly not enough that I'd want to sell. :)

Re: I'm in the market for a new watch.

Wow, looks very sharp with a CF strap! Works nicely with the bezel and dial.
22. Re: Another Longines - Unusual Vernier seconds Chronograph

If it were 36,000 bph, would it not say "Ultra-Chron" on the dial? Not sure that they made a chronographic Cal. 43x, did they?
