22 July. Well worth a watch.
There was a Dugena Carrera listed on flea bay for just over a K but this was shaped like the traditional round Carrera case and not the cushion case. It also wasn't in great condition so the price...
I pointed this out to my wife a few days ago. Her response was to ask me if I would be selling mine?
No
I took it that he meant the keepers, but I could be wrong. WACCEX are okay for about this money. I've got a couple of Hadley Roma Oil tanned leather straps which Weston do for about fifteen quid if...
How about the Orient Bambino? Comes in black or white dialed versions. Vintage looks but a more modern size. The crystal is stunning BTW.
I always thought a watch had to have a date till I did a deal on a very nice second hand Hamilton Khaki Chrono only to find that the previous owner had knackered up the date wheel by using the quick...
I have a Bob Coconut in 24/22mm. Very good strap and has aged well. They now do a version with box stitching, though it does look a completely different strap.
There is also a US site but I believe the Orients sold in CONUS are made in Brazil not Japan. I'm not sure if there is any difference in quality. I got mine for about 50 quid from Singapore but...
Totally agree on the PRS-5. Much like the Monster there isn't a much in this price bracket that can match it.
+1, though Eddie has stated that he is thinking about shipping both dials and bezel options in the package. How many chaps would actually be up for changing the dial I don't know.
It's an interesting watch but it doesn't make me want to buy one.
I think you probably already have
My Son has a Mako and you really can't complain about it for not a lot of cash. I've got a Planet Orient and though I hate it because it's my work watch it's also the watch that gets the most...
His phone numbers are on the web page. Why not just give him a bell. Emails can be a pain in the arse to trawl through.
Looks good. I prefer leather or mesh myself. I just don't find traditional bracelets that comfortable.
If you do a search through SC you'll see quite a difference in the prices asked. You could consider a WTB though I'm not sure if you need 50 posts for this.
When we had the kitchen extended we went for a gas hob. Now we are thinking of going for an induction. Our old ceramic hob was much better than the gas in our opinion.
Sausage and cheese plus ketchup.
I'm not allowed to wear a watch at work therefore my watch has to rattle around in my pocket getting knocked about. I ought to have a quartz for this but I just can't wear them since I got into...
If you like the chronissimo Rios do a similar looking strap which is quite a bit cheaper. No idea if it's of comparable quality though.
If you use two or three pillows try losing one of them. Ideally your head needs to be in line with your spine.
Yes, the padded calf are pretty good, especially for the price. They are nicely padded, flexible and I think the lining is more comfortable than the OEM calf. I've just ordered a couple more of those...
Couldn't agree more.
An extremely good looking watch but the size is much too big IMO. About 40mm would have been about right considering its vintage looks.
This self same watch was on eBay very recently, though I can't remember how much it went for. I've also read that Heuer produced some models for Le Jour.
