Not even via SC first?
Will add a pair of 1907s to the Chukka 3141 (D width) I have just bought.
Anyone have both and can confirm recommend staying the same size, or half a size down for the 1907s?
First pair of Red Wings in 30 years.

Twas always the case given my 10+ pairs
Sizes 9 & 10 available. Brown version (size 9) and Moc Toe at -36% (size 10.5).
I think the Iron Rangers with the Christy sole is a more handsome boot than the Moc Toe, but unfortunately not in my...
Thanks for this. I reckon you will be spot on. Just a question of whether I gamble on a size 7.
Toying with a pair of Moc Toe Oro Russetts, but hate by shoes mail order, as I like to try them on and buy.
I am currently a solid 8 in Nike/Addidas, but a solid 7 in Loake, and my midget feet...
Got these arriving in a couple of days.
I am a size 8 in trainers, but size a full size down for anything of quality.
The last two pairs of these I bought over the last couple of years I have...
Phew. Order is restored to the world.
Very nice well worn in. A bit on mink oil wouldn’t go amiss on the toe caps though.
Be careful as they come in two width sizes, D and EE. So whether you size down and by how much depends on the width of the boot you are buying. Always best to try on. I have just sent a pair back,...
Having emigrated to the smoke 35 years ago, I am used to paying the London tax. But, I also shop around.
Not used them but a few good Google reviews on folk who have had their Red Wings resoled....
Ouch! £140 for RW sole replacement.
Liking these but not available in my size.
Possible further -20% with email signup. Calf leather/suede and Norwegian double welted.

I have heard Alden Indy’s recommended a few times, and they are very pricey. But came across this recent review and they seem unreassuringly expensive.

Pity that the soles of Moc Toes are made of cheese, as the uppers are completely bulletproof.
I think I have probably overdosed on brogues.
I must have 10 pairs of good quality shoes and boots that will last another decade but never get worn as I got bored of them and the fashion.
Everyone lives the theory that some boots will last...
Ten years ago all OS boots and shoes were made in Italy. Now, some are made in Italy and most are made in India.
The website states the country of manufacture for each shoe/boot.
I picked up...
I have a couple of pairs of Oliver Sweeney brogues that are busy gathering dust. I think OS used to be all made in Italy, and my oldest pair are made there.
Now they are made in cheaper countries...
I never had you down for a tabloid reader [emoji3]
Yeah, I’m sure there are loads of tricks.
If anyone is feeling the love for brogue boots; half price Grenson Fred’s @ John Lewis.
Rubber soles and sizes available at time of posting in the photo.
