Can’t see where he’s suggesting that. Not singles but gloves often sold by the box of 100 or whatever and they aren’t counted in pairs.

Could say the same about the NHS, they have their budgets. Didn’t hear them complaining about lack of PPE before this blew up.
Proof that some hospitals haven’t run out of PPE is not proof that there have been no shortages.
No, it’s because the average person plays less golf in Iran and China.
Does everyone working in a hospital know their PPE situation? What would be confirmation for you, another friend saying they’d run out?
Presumably if your father ever received poor service in a shop, for example, he’d put up with it or become a shopkeeper.
The percentage urban population of Iceland is greater than that of UK. Overall population density is not important if no-one lives in, for example, 95% of the country.
The figures themselves aren’t necessarily unreliable but any comparisons aren’t especially useful.
For example, Italy has carried out nearly twice as many test as us. Not surprising then that they...
Is it? As someone has already posted, figures will depend on number of tests carried out.
Imagine it’s what was/is essential here in England - supermarket shopping, helping vulnerable person etc.
If non-essential no you can’t.
Think there’s a lot of truth in this. Son went to work first time for a while yesterday, think had rush of blood to his head and foolishly decided to overtake a police car at ~45 in a 40 limit then...
Then why are people posting diagrams of pupils spaced apart on here?
Other countries (Denmark I believe) manage the classroom by dividing it into taped-off groups of five who don’t social distance between themselves.
Not ideal but at this rate schools here won’t even...
To be fair to Oaky, the Guardian article says a Muslim organisation paid for most of the materials.
Ah, thanks - makes sense!
'Single-use' is a rather nebulous term.
Could be worn for 15 minutes or a 6 hour shift.
But best not to spread it to older people.
And your reply is sensible? Obviously a care home doesn’t need the same volume as the whole of NHS but an NHS Trust isn’t procuring for the whole NHS either.
Maybe we didn’t hear about the smaller...
If NHS Trust hospitals were, as we were constantly being told, unable to source PPE or tests for staff (within budget funded by taxpayers) why do you think private homes would be able to (no matter...
Isn’t the issue that likely infected elderly people were discharged from hospitals into care homes to make beds available, thus spreading the virus into the homes?
As for PPE, could equally say the...
Grandparents are generally older than teachers.
There is a risk to more grandparents than teachers.
Schools will follow protocols to minimise risk.
It's faint-hearted Sir!
I’ll holiday where I choose, thanks.
