Great review and a watch that is now firmly on my 'maybe one day' list.
Stunning.
M4tt, good to see that I can leave the WIS scene for a while and return to find your ironic sense of humour still firing on all cyclinders! It is indeed a travesty to see a 30T2 shoehorned into this...
Well for my 30th a few years back, the wife allowed me to buy a PO, which was my first major foray into this watch malarky  . Additionally, my Dad got me a 30 yr old bottle of Whisky, with the...
If you can source a good MTP NATO strap, count me in!
Worth noting that the fitting of Leonardo range to a watch case can be adjust to 8 different position by pushing out the plastic sleeve within which the spring bar slots and then rotating it. Each...
Longines in fact have re-issued the WWW in a modern day watch, part of their new 'Sports Legends' series. Very nice it is too.
What a cracking idea! It certainly beats the wristbands we had on H10. In fact, it probably beats the WW2 issue Omega (WWW) that I took out with me on that tour only to discover it took more time...
Pics of these, especially the OM, have forced my hand - I'm getting one!
I've missed the colour on my wrist since I sold my Orange faced O&W which I wore with the SAR NATO. Same strap on an OM...
No point asking me, I was at the RA Gold Cup meeting at Sandown last Fri and struggled to pick my nose never mind a winner. That may have had more to do with the copious amounts of Guinness I was...
  Which presumably explains why used ones come in an off-white / creamy colour?!
As an aside, does anyone know HOW they come up with some of the mods over at WUS? One of the forums I frequent has recently made what appear to be a couple of quite random picks. :?
His aunt and uncle (his Dad's brother) NEVER get invited to Winbledon. Instead they get asked to dog sit. Aunt and mother apparantly don't get on.
You did ask.
Something to do with eating bones apparantly.
I want to know why we never see baby pigeons.
He was one of the founding members of Para Reg perhaps?
Does anyone know the significance of the 'SP'?
I'm after a CWC G10 from 2005 and looking at one on the bay right now. What's the going rate on these at present?
2005 was the year I was commissioned and as I already have one from the year I...
I'm with simonsev on this one. When the price of soap can be equated to the price of a watch, the priority is not being clean this week!
Excellent idea - good luck with it.
Can you imagine the conversation with someone like that?
"What do you do for a living?" :|
"I make computer parts out of dead animals".
Not a lot you can say in reply to that...
The barrel case doesn't do it for me.
I can tell you that they certainly stand out in the cookhouse at Bastion 2. They are the only ones with absolutely no unit badges, ranks slides or head dress of any kind on!! Funnier still though...
I'm really not a fan of the design other than the fact there is something very 'iconic' about it. The orange strap though does seem to bring it to life. It's not a piece I can see me buying anytime...
I've always liked the CWC Divers but can't help but think they are overpriced. Maybe it's thw CWC association with Silvermans that makes me think that way...
I've been getting prety fed up with WUS for a while. I'm a regular on the Omega forum and whilst there are some REALLY knowledgable guys on there, some of whom post on here too, there are FAR too...
