Freesat for quite a few years now. All you’ll need is a new box and connect it to your existing satellite dish. Not missed sky at all, certainly not missed the yearly negotiation.

I agree about the UI but you do get used to it. I think it's purely because we've had the Sky UI for so long it's hard to use anything else. I suppose it's similar as migrating from android to Apple...
Get yourself a Humax Freesat box, they're great. I've not missed Sky at all since leaving.
Freesat is the way to go, it's just been announced that Dave and Home channels will be on there from 1 August.
I get sky tv original package, broadband unlimited, line rental with pay as you go calls all for £17.73/month. It was literally days before due to finish and I called them with a different question...

I reduced right down to freesat from sky and agreed line rental, broadband and sky+ (recording facility) for £22.40.
I then phoned them today about their upcoming line rental increase and straight...
I got my basic TV package down to £8, free broadband (negotiated separately) and £50 cash back...and there's still nowt on!
Next year I'll definitely be cancelling for good, free view here we come....
Just done an online chat with sky, straight away they offered 60% off and £50 into my account. I only have the basic original package so it works out at £8/month. Mussent grumble eh
Humax freesat recorder bought. Must say I'm impressed with the picture quality, it seems much sharper and brighter than Sky. Here's to free TV again, I hope it lasts.

Mine also goes off on the 18th but I'm going to try without for a while, certainly after that date. I'm going to try a Humax freesat box, purely because I record stuff when I'm at work. It'll be my...
