The crazy thing is that Eliud averaged over 21km/h for over 2 hours. The high spec Technogym treadmill at my gym maxes out at only 20km/h! I'm not even sure I can stay on the machine at max speed...
Cheers Dave. Joined. I've somehow missed this thread for a while!

Yes - I had my shots 2 weeks ago and the first night was sleepless and spent wrestling with flu-like symptoms. Took one week for the arm to return to normal! 1:44 is great. My best HM is 1:48.

Since going back to full time studies in 2021, and with winter in full swing, I have struggled to maintain mileage each week and have somewhat fallen off the horse. But today’s Spring-like...
2020 has been a remarkable year. Difficult at so many levels. Started running around end-March with lockdown, and found it liberating. It gave me some sanity at what was a very difficult time. ...
How was your November? Keeping my sanity through running despite the cold. Managed a bit less mileage than October but will try to do another 200 in December weather permitting.

I use the paid version of Strava and enjoy the premium features. I tend to run similar routes regularly so comparing sectors and splits has been a good form of self motivation. The training log and...
Superb! I was almost 30kg heavier and very out of shape (ok round is a shape lol) in 2017. Only took up running this year in April/May and am now addicted to it. It has been brilliant for not only...
Well done! I struggled with PF about 10 years ago and wore dedicated orthotics for several years that really helped. Since taking up running this year, I have found that the right shoes for your...
So how did your September go? I was initially on track to match August’s total of about 250km. But one bad run - when I failed to tighten my left shoe sufficiently - resulted in a bout of plantar...

Had a target of 200km in June, but closed it out at 228km. Currently running about 55km every week: 1x HM, 1x 15-18k, 1x 10k, and another 5 or 10k. Only really started running in lockdown, and have...
Only started road running in March with the lockdown. Love it! Aimed for 100km in April - made that to 135km, so aimed for 150km in May. With today’s run, I closed out May at 196km. Absolutely...
I run with Jabra Elite Active 75Ts. Brilliant things.
So the London Winter 10k for Cancer Research was cancelled today due to Storm Ciara, but decided to stick in 10k at the gym. It was painful as I have been travelling lots the past 6mos and missed on...
Thanks - such a great atmosphere and event. He’s a good kid and it was great to run together. We’ve run quite a few 10ks together and always considered it good bonding time doing it for a cause, not...
Ran my first ever half marathon last weekend - the Royal Parks Half. It was the farthest I’ve ever run - as a 100-200m sprinter and triple jumper in my youth, endurance has never been my forte and...
