I use a Salomon hydration pack and literally sip a bit every single km from start to finish and it doesn’t affect...
What energy drink were you using? Cramping can be down to lack of salt and this can be combated through what you’re drinking
Tailwind is fantastic for me - helps take care of salt and carb intake...

It’s been tough - hill efforts on Tuesday, 9 miles easy yesterday and today is 4 miles at half marathon pace
I think today will be hardest in terms of the heat due to the continuous higher effort...
Thanks for the advice. I always train hills anyway and love getting out onto trails as well so should be in good shape but will make sure to keep plenty of hills in the plan

If you really did that in 18 minutes then that’s beyond impressive - there are not many runners can do an 18min 5k
If it is ITB then my physio basically got me focused on hip strength and mobility as that’s a major contributor
