The facts are that Rolex made, assembled the complete watches with a shipping dial shown below, all Panerai did was to fit the Radiomir dial.

The depth rating for the Radiomir/Panerai 3646 (and the only Panerai used in WW11) was 100 mtrs.
I doubt the divers ever went below a few mtrs though.

Agree with that.
Although superficially good looking they were a cheap watch often sold by mail order catalogues.
Most of the cases were thinly chrome plated brass which wears badly with age...

Not a lot about.
A 1940's Radiomir/Panerai will glow in the dark.
Hands can be charge with light & lasts only 2-3 secs.
Dial is a slab of Radium but cannot be charged.
In total darkness on the bedside table, eyes...
