If a vaccine is 90% effective it will reduce the number of people who have the virus making track and trace much easier.
They aren’t alone.
Yes I agree with you, my point was it was worth doing even at 90% effectiveness. No doubt the You Tube Anti-Vaxxer brigade will find a reason to disagree.
If it's 90% effective then surely 10 out of 100 people would get no benefit. Of those 10 if 20% have underlying health issues that means 2 people out of every 100 remain at serious risk. Worst case...
Yes we are taking Vit D supplements. It can't hurt and might be of benefit.
If it lasted a year I'd be up for it. I get a flu jab every year so can't see the problem.
Yes, saw one guy on the BBC news whining because he was supposed to be starting a job when he returned, and if he was quarantined it might be in jeopardy. Apparently had been out of work for a long...
So Russia claims to have a vaccine.
Good news or not?
Ha ha ha ha! Chapeau. Best post this week so far!
I was merely answering your post , no need to be rude. I haven't been rude to you have I?
I'll say no more about it also, as you say hopefully someone has some good news, maybe even the news item...
Luckily people are still allowed to have an opinion.
If they are being used properly. Other posts say they aren’t.
So basically the peer reviewed safeguards we hear about simply aren’t working in the way some would have us believe.
If it was published in the Lancet, where were the peer reviewed safeguards we are told science relies on.
No doubt others will join in soon. Well done chap.
I hardly think the MMR rubbish claims are comparable, weren’t they spread about on social media rather than by government?
It was your statement not mine. I simply agreed with what you said.
I think you will find many principles of science have changed, it's called progress. "Like a lot of science, biotechnology has advanced massively over recent years."
Well I think it already has, given vaccines have been brought to trials in record times.
Perhaps some of the safeguards and laws surrounding research are actually stifling advances not...
Perhaps the way science works needs to change.
If they're wrong then their claims should be investigated and disproven. Simply hiding the claims in an effort to silence them, if that's what is happening, seems a bit wrong.
Yes it does sound promising.
If some idiots believe that they shouldn't be vaccinated, at least those sensible enough to do so will be protected from them. And at least the children won't be so at risk from their parents...
So some people have a level of immunity. Others are still dying.
I think the news about the Pfizer vaccine is much more positive for those at risk of severe symptoms.
