I think that movement was developed in 1988, your example has the 631 which is the 630 without moonphase.

Great watches indeed, although the finishing on the manual wind movement of the older version (1845) was slightly better imho.

The El Primero was available in 1996 and the dial was argente'.
Steel 8k Swiss Francs, yellow gold 16K, white gold 16.8K.

Beautiful piece, not often seen....first came out in 1997, steel in black or white dial, steel/gold in blue or white dial.
Then later, a version with mango dial and arabic number.
