Thanks a lot, Cirrus. That's great. I'll start looking around.

Cirrus, thanks a lot. What sort of opening tool are we talking here? Very interested in the DIY option!
I've got an inexpensive molded Seiko 5 from Yobokies.
The second hand appears to have worked slightly loose and has dropped onto the watch face. Also there is a tiny bit of lint stuck in there. ...
As has been said, it depends what £20k and the car means to you.
I'd consider taking the money, negotiating a change in the role to get rid of the stress and then reassessing in a year's time.
...
I've got far fewer watches than I suspect nearly everyone here has, but I'm after ideas for how to keep tidy:
Watches
Cufflinks
Penknives
Collar stays
I am currently thinking along the lines...
Awesome - thanks PJ

Can anyone...
My modded Seiko 5 has a loose minute hand. How easy it is it to dissemble to rectify the problem and what tools do I need?
I'm tempted to have a go myself because I fancy buying another stock...
So Seiko bought to be worn, Rolex bought to be sold?
I use decathlon shorts and Rapha, sportful and dhb bibs.
Shorts are good because going to the loo is straightforward. Decathlon shorts are cheap and decent.
My dhb bibs split at the crotch...
Height generally. That's the important measurement. The good ones feel taut when you put them on, but make sense when you curl up on the bike.
Oh Christ. So many ways to incur SWMBO's wrath.
Should I ask how I get in the running for one of these DN GMTs?
Gah! Everytime I come back, I get sucked into craving more watches! Only came back for guidance on where to go for repairs!
That Dreadnought face though - staring out from the computer screen...

Thanks for the speedy replies.
I got a Seiko from Yobokies a few years ago. Really pleased with it.
Unfortunately one of the hands has dropped and is touching the watch face.
Is there anywhere in London where I can get it...
Thanks for the comments. Love the new watch. Slightly unsure whether I made the wrong choice with an orange minute hand. I think perhaps for a plain watch on a leather strap I should have had all...
Just to finish off the thread, I thought I'd come back and show you the result. I've attached a (poor, cameraphone - apologies) picture of the watch I received yesterday from Yobokies. I ended up...

:D I think that would fit the bill very well. Now to find the strap! It seems watchworxs can no longer get hold of the CSS Titan in...
The other suggestions are nice but expensive. These however look fantastic. Sorely tempted.
Looking at this, I'd love it with a sterile dial - this would look very sharp with a simpler face. Are...
Thanks for some awesome suggestions. I have to say: the scorn of my firends is probably "in the eye of the beholder" and likely a figment of my imagination.
That is awesome. I love it. The only...
A lot of friends have far more money and many more toys than I have.
Although they don’t know about watches they all have expensive Breitlings or similar generally bought for them as birthday...
That's awesome and pretty inspirational (inasmuch as "If he can do that, I should be able to make something 1/10th as good, and that'll do!")
That's Russell Talerman. I went there last week to get batteries replaced in an olsd seiko and a Braodarrow PRS10. They did them while I waited. They were professional and friendly. Obviously what I...
Like othersd have said, there are some good ones in there. Definitely not the usually FW:FW:FW fodder that regularly does the office rounds.
Hehehe. Not seen that before. Sure I would have thought it was "soooo unfunny, yeah?" in my teens but I like it now.
