Asked a question late last night on their website and they came back to me to confirm the watch has a 24mm lug width (as I expected), 54mm lug to lug and the rubber strap fits wrists of up to 24cm...
That Aquamarine 45 is stunning, just pulled the trigger on one!
Came to EUR358 with taxes and EU 5-7 days shipping (£315 equivalent). That's using a 40% discount code that pops up when you visit...
So now I have the watch on a class Toshi tan leather strap. Wearing it right now. A cork strap on its way to me from Portugal and a few suede ones through Etsy.
And I've had plenty of time to...
Thanks a million for all the suggestions! I went a bit mad, bought two very cheap suede straps from a seller on Etsy, kzfashions@163.com. I also ordered a cork strap from that seller in Portugal...
And so I bought my first Panerai (PAM00196 from 2005, complete set) this week, a friend was selling one, wanted one for a long time. Like this:

Tell her it's too big for a woman. But if needs be you'll wear it :peaceful:
Must say I like all these new colours, and 41mm is the perfect size for me. The turquoise is my favourite
I have to say that puts me right off ceramic cases. You'd probably need to drop it from a height onto a concrete floor to break a lug, but still, a steel case would just have a scratch.
You fear that because the case is ceramic and not steel?
Thanks. Offering a 100 discount on a >10000 watch is a bit of an insult though, isn't it? If I were the retailer and that was really all the room I'd have to play with, I'd offer a free or discounted...
Of course it is Steve, who cares? :blob1:
I'm not far behind you and I fancy that new turquoise colour Rolex myself.
That is one classy diver, the dial looks gorgeous.
Excuse my ignorance but what's the RRP on it?
I feel it was a styling error. Does not look good on average or smaller than average wrists. Diameter too small, lug width too small, case too big. An error duly rectified with the new 2020 sub. I...
Well said. Supply and demand. Whinging about it is neither here nor there and it won't get anyone anywhere.
Well wear! You got the watch from Lunn's then? Do you mind me asking how long you were on the waiting list? I'm on the list with Weir's in Dublin, also for the no date sub, only since about May of...
Not a fan of the double batons, but the sunburst blue 41 looks stunning. And I quite fancy myself with a turquoise one too. Or green!
I think this line up of OP 41 models is a brilliant move from...
Blue? I WTB one myself. The last 4 that sold on this forum all went for about £7k or a bit above, all full set, all in very good condition (better than you describe)
Anyone want to sell, please...
That of course depends on your insurer. I am with Zurich (one of the bigger players) and they did not suggest anything like having a safe or other security measures. But I guess I have just the one...
The one thing I would have liked in my Explorer were the lume on the arabic numerals, but mine was a 2012 and they didn't get that until 2016 I believe. Not that it mattered much in the end as I...
I'd love to see waiting lists from all ADs being published online. That will never happen of course.
Cif cream is abrasive, surely you do not want to use that on a watch? Or am I wrong here and is it widely used instead of dedicated metal polishes?
EUR I presume then if it's from DE dealers? That's GBP14.5k. I was thinking like Kash. That dealers would advertise at 18/19/20 and see if they sell at that, but expect them to make at least 16. So...
I feel one should consider respecting one's late parents in using the money they gave you through an inheritance (at least partially) in a way they would have liked you to spend it.
So for me I...
Great answers, agree with most of what is said there.
To me a cheap OP is not undesirable at all and do the latest generation now not even have the same oyster bracelet with the easy link system?...
A mythical sports tag. So in your view it's just marketing then?
And exactly which models in the current line up are sports models and who has decided they are? Can't remember seeing this...
It's late and my sarcasm meter might be failing, but surely not? And as for climbing a mountain, wasn't the watch that Hillary wore up Everest just an OP as they hadn't invented the "Explorer" name...
