This is quite a common occurance. As the lubricant in the reverser wheels becomes old and sticky, instead of allowing them to spin freely, the additional drag drive makes the rotor spin.
Ah, OK. Thanks for that. Mind you, I'd rather the oil wasn't so old and sticky seeing as the watch was new in March this year. I guess they might sort it under warranty then?Quote:

The same thing happened to my IWC Pilot Chrono with a Valjoux 7750 movement. As has been previously mentioned a lube sorted it out.
What watch is it?
99% sure it's the reverser sticking.
