I think it got returned to a sandblasted finish if memory serves.
If I remember right the current owner had it returned to its original finish.
I'm pretty sure it was returned to its original spec, I think Jonmurgie sold it last ?
i thought there was two polished... time [or Eddie] will tell.
It's ringing a distant bell with me that there were two but I can't think of the other. The one which has been documented was certainly bead-blasted again.Quote:

The one in the PRS-2 review is 143 which I bought in 2009 having already been put back to a "bead blasted' finish. It looked OK but had lost a little of it's "sharpness" due to the 2 changes of finish (see the macro shot further down)

It was a brave move polishing it but at launch it was such a silly cheap price I guess owners were happy to do what they like with them.
