Was that from an AD? Lovely watch. I tried the standard version on at Schipol airport (Boutique) last weekend. Loved the weight of it. I'd love one of these :)

Called in Milton's in Liverpool today. There were two watches in the running, both with the same price tag on them. A Submariner 14060m and a 1991 Seadweller 16600 with lovely patina. After trying both on I opted for the Sub, I have wanted one of these four liners for a few years and this is a 2011 full set in wonderful condition.

Whilst I was there I asked if I could see and try on one of their two white dial Ceramic Daytonas. Having followed the hype and viewed many images on here, I had never seen one in the flesh - they are beautiful, believe me.

As I am on the list at Goldsmiths, I had this image taken, so come the day I will stare at this image and make a choice. At least I own 50% of the watches in this image, just the wrong 50% in most people's eyes.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f8ed5c016a.jpgbeen fancying a cheapish Rolex ,no box or papers ,but loads of scratches and dings(patina)I may hold onto this as the newer rolexes I've own ,I've always been cautious of marking them ,not to worry with this it's already had a beating

New £3.5 Zulu strap on £35 Kirovskie 'bull-horn' lugs. Chopped excess strap to fit my 6" wrist.
.....
So I've had a couple of very nice incomings this week.
First off Speedy Schumacher from SC:

So far very happy, looks and wears great. It's the perfect size for me. One issue is that life are 18mm so need better straps.
Second incoming is NATO style strap with deployant from Eddie for my sub:

If like me u enjoy changing straps on ur watches often for variety I would highly recommend this!

Thanks John, it was just nice to see and handle one. I had a white dialled 16520, but the new one feels a bit chunkier with the bloated insert and although the same size it looks and feels bigger.
The Sub is superb, haven't taken it off since I got home. As I have posted elsewhere, my dilema starts when I collect the Speedy Tuesday - one of the three has to go...
As things stand a Black Sub and White Speedmaster is a perfect pair.
If you like the Snoopy I'd suggest you keep it and sell the ST. Black Rolex, white Omega is a nice pair.
I'm a sucker for a smooth sweep. Just bought one of these from my local EJ as on sale:

Just received: http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/a...psiasyfq7s.jpg
Suits you very well :)
Thank you [emoji2]I have been a quartz snob for some years but I might just be converted. It's probably just that I have never had a high quality quartz watch.
It has been said that Zenith lost its direction. This El Primero (my first) is illuminating my watch journey rather well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f99585edb0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f99585edb0.jpg

The Omega Rally strap was £115.
The invoice model reference is O98000024
It needs a deployant clasp: O94521813 which is £180 from Omega. There are cheaper non-Omega clasps on the internet but I don't have any experience of them.

Picked up this Bulova Lobster Chrono a few weeks back on SC thinking it would be this years holiday watch:-

A bit different, and very comfortable.
However, this Titanium homage just arrived today and I'm thinking this may be coming on holiday instead now:-

Ive ummmed and ahhhhh'd over this for ages. Really glad that I got over the gold fear and just did it. The matte dial, gilt and red is sublime in different lights.

Very nice, nicer than your Aquanaut IMHO.
For years I always thought the Rolex for me was a green bezel, black dial Sub (or variant).
Every time I see a Yachtmaster with that bezel, my mind changes a little bit more...
New incoming . Not really sure I will keep it but I do need a watch which isn't a sports watch. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bb85c4f1c6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...28756ca9d7.jpg

Just absolutely loving this, arrived from SC over the weekend:

The dial is almost a linen texture, the perfect grey/blue colour to go with just about every shirt, the red logo really contrasts nicely. The second hand has the smoothest sweep, just love it.
Really the perfect size for me. I've had a few vintage Omegas before, including some F300s, but only kept one (weirdly, the first one I ever got - a heavily patina'd Geneve), this one is definitely a keeper.

Stumbled across this on eBay after a couple of glasses of vino. Apparently a manual wind Russian military flight clock!
Thought it would look good as a desk clock, once I've worked out how to mount it :grief:
@ed335d that looks great! What's the little window in the top sub dial?
Having read the super compressor thread, it was inevitable that this would happen....

Not looking too bad for a 50 odd year old!
Another successful WTB post landed me this today

My first Stowa; impressed with the quality and in great nick as the seller described. Also my first manual winding flieger, blued hands and no seconds hand so five firsts in a oner!

Picked this up on Tuesday after meeting up with nickk to hand over my sub he'd bought from me.
I chose the sub over the BLNR back in 2014 but have hankered after one ever since. Would love to have been able to keep both but not to be.

Great service (again) from David M Robinson's in Manchester
Stunning! Just hoping I get the call for mine before I go on tour for the summer cos then it'll most likely be back to square one! Enjoy it!
EDIT: The reason I favour the GMT over the Sub is the bezel. Far more interesting than the plain sub! Add the blue and it's game over IMO
