Tudor release black bay Chrono “Black” for the rugby World Cup
Just saw on Instagram. Looks pretty sick. The flash of red on the second hand and the black bezel instead of the steel changes the aesthetic quite a bit. Then I noticed the case and bracelet are PVD also. Cheapens the look for me [emoji22]. A black bezel would been enough https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ae75e92164.jpg price £4260. Normal BBChrono on bracelet £3650, so it’s £610 more for PVD finish basically [emoji2373]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0aa4add6cb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5ccc5b8af3.jpg ok just noticed it’s a ltd edition of 1181 pieces. Not bad value then

On this black version, the numerals look like they are printed onto an insert, not engraved into it. Is that the case?
Thanks

Good spot!
The steel bezel version is indeed solid with the numerals engraved on and painted black.
That last photo does make it look like an insert
Checking the Chrono S&G, that also looks like an insert rather than one-piece. (Photos do, anyway)

I just picked it up at the AD, looks much better in person.
Very different to the stainless steel which I compared side by side at AD. Feels more modern, smaller (14.4mm thickness vs 14.95mm normal version) and with the non rivet bracelet. Apparently the PVD has been applied very thick by Tudor, as would be expected.
