How to change thread titles

I've been trying to change a Sales Corner thread title via the website by clicking Edit Post, Go Advanced and then change title, which prompts me to write a new title, but nothing gets changed?

I'm clearly missing something so could someone kindly point me in the right direction please. And apologies if this has been posted before, I did try searching but to no avail.

I think there’s a time limit within which you can change the title which may have been exceeded.

You don’t really need to do anything though. You’ve marked it as sold and it will soon disappear down the pages never to be seen again.

How old is the thread Mike?

That is the correct method but can only be done Ito a certain timescale, not sure what it is but a couple weeks up to month maybe seems to ring a bell.

I’ll leave it as is and remember the time limit thing for next time.
