sad, however he will live on as do the rest of the platoon, as i watch and listen to the recordings i have of every tv show and radio episode at least once a week ,RIP
Sad news. Funnily enough the other half was just saying the other week that all the Dad's Army cast had passed on now, I corrected her but unfortunately she was only out by a couple of weeks.
His face is just a picture, a great comic actor who brought a lot of joy to me and my family.

I used to love Dad's Army as a kid and it's still funny now.
The characters were all so well written and, of course, there were a lot of great character actors in it, but as a kid, it was just funny :)
Sad that the last of them has gone now - Time marches on, often with a bit of straw in its mouth...
