Can Muddy Waters please write an assessment on rolex please.....
Do Rolex normally increase the cost of servicing at the same time as price increases on watches?
Forgive me, but it is when the GBP declines significantly against the Swiss Franc that you should expect a price rise in the UK, all else being equal.
No, but Rolex came out with a change in spare parts prices back on November 1st. Some parts like movement bridges nearly tripled, while other things got cheaper, like the ceramic BLRO insert. Generally a raise in prices though.
The price rise from January 2nd is confirmed and seems to be a worldwide thing from what i hear.
Yup,. 7.4. %. Across the board. Ho hum.

Is it a worldwide increase or is it just U.K would anyone know?
If reliable sources say it's happening......it's happening!
Prices for anything will always continue to rise as materials, labor and even future research to build better products continue because someone has to pay for it. Rolex will continue to keep it's price in the unobtanium atmosphere as long as there are plenty willing to buy them and Rolex doesn't want to lose their market status either. When they reach the peak then they will slow until everyone catches up.
Rolex monitors all markets to try and keep things level, apparently a big rise in China coming because of the Yuan, meaning the Chinese will go even more bananas for foreign tax free luxury.... If its in 100% of markets only Rolex knows at the moment, perhaps someone will do a poll...
Just picked up a watch at Harrods - another confirmation of a 7% increase :/
If the 7% increase is indeed correct, then we should count ourselves lucky. Rolex could increase prices by 17% and they would still sell.
They only have to look at the usual sites and see what the premiums are and listen to the demand in the dealers and know whatever % they put on the customers will still come in. Hulk or GMT for £10k? There will be people glad to pay it if they see a new one in WoS window.
Those who are interested in prices and have access may like to visit a new thread started today in the BP ;-)
Has anyone heard anything about a potential worldwide increase?
I can only see U.K. online, presuming due to the weak £

WoS group won’t have any deliveries until Jan (after the increase) now. Few more days until we (or at least some of us) see what the new prices are like.
Some European pricing.
Great channel by the way with some serious camera work!

So the 126333 DJ41 is approx £10760 then. Over £1400 more than when I bought one in 2017! No wonder s/h prices remain high.
Between 7 and 10 % across the board from Monday according to my contact, clearly not waiting till 1/1/2020
Those AD`s are desperate for their New Year's bonus :grief:
Was in my local AD today and they brought up the imminent price increase almost as a ‘buy it now or the price will go up’ sales tactic.
Pity they didn’t have anything new in stock that caught my eye [emoji57] though a pre-owned one peaked my interest and will give it some thought.
