I've been very pleased with the SUR311P and have been wearing it since I posted above two weeks ago. The 6N52 movement is running very well, and has lost just a couple of seconds in that time, so well within the stated +/- 15s per month. As it's coming up to the end of summer time, I may well set it and see how it runs for until we return to BST.
Bit of 70s vintage this week in the shape of this Seiko 6138. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c08a3070b5.jpg

Fantastic [emoji122] Drooling all over... [emoji2956] can't regret letting go that orange 7548. I was trying to get the teal one (not likely...)
Had all except the pepsi 7C43.
Currently SKX moded with padi seconds hand paired with fantastic canvas [diaboliq straps]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b0ad8b0179.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1e8c68b299.jpg
Great stuff.
I've been working on a couple of 7548's this past few week. Both are Japanese home market 7548-7000's that came directly from Japan.
They have different sapphire crystal designs out of personal choice.
One is a 1981 model. The other dates to 1982. A year between them but two totally different case designs. One is a fat lug. The other, a thin lug. Different case back motif diameters and case back designs.

Both bought on the forum, first some green bling, an LE 62MAS inspired diver, an SPB081J1

is it green or is it...turquoise

Then this recent acquisition from Sales Corner too. I was after a spring drive sports watch and considering a few GS models and wasn't sure on this ...but its is really growing on me! To my eyes its a dark chocolate brown and its warmer than a cold black. Its a LX prospex SNR035
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Yr...UwZdU5n8=w2400
and used to have this Sumo too, bought new not long after the current model came out, but sold when i got the 62MAS as I don't need 2 green seiko divers

Tuna almighty. I do like the soul of automatics but this quartz has become my favourite grab n go piece.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...693d967185.jpg
New to me Baby Turtle SRPC37J1. Loving it, reduces the bulk of the regular Turtle nicely and the crown at 3 further differentiates.

I've caught the vintage Seiko bug!
Have been on the hunt for interesting caseback early sixties watches in particular, with a range of movements and day-date/date/no date options.
Two new arrivals are a very early Lord Marvel 36000 with the sea horse back, and a less rare auto with date Sea horse.
It turns out listening to ten beats a second is quite addictive!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...53eec9d4f8.jpg
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c45fc45a0a.jpg
Agreed, it's interesting (and time consuming) trying to follow the different models and ranges, and with the code format changes too and lack of history in general hours can be spent!
I bought both from ebay. Hunted for a while and found a couple of good sellers. I like to have a bit of chat with people rather than piling in with an offer straight away.
The Marvel is running slow, and the auto not at all so sending them off today for a freshen up.
Popped this in the motorbike thread originally as it's inspired by the Honda Super Cub, but as it's a Seiko I guess it can appear here too

It is a lovely watch for the price to be fair. Though my wife has been handed down a vintage Grand Seiko, and the difference in quality between the KS and GS is noticeable.

The big yins.....
The LX is keeping pretty good time.

Me too. Scared of the seducing effect of sweeping seconds hand. So far, the 7C46 is my favourite diver https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b2abda2678.jpg
This is probably my favourite watch (SBGX337) but I tend to wear it's slightly more marked SBGX335 cousin more often, mainly to keep this one in pretty clean condition. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ccead0707e.jpg

New arrival, 6602 manual wind. Running OK, but needs a service, a new crystal and a bit of a tidy up. That mark on the dial is not a scratch thankfully.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a10764a7c2.jpg

Oh my, that 6217.[emoji7]
Very much so, this was a lucky find missing the bezel and about a month prior the bezel was a nos part I grabbed in the hopes one would show up! That was fortunate....They come up at times, but often suffer around the lume or the insert when they do I've found.
Beautiful 6217 Guy, is it yours or a customers? If it is yours then congrats! What's the caseback like, they are usually pretty smooth on the early small crowns?
I'm the lucky owner thanks Duncan. I've seen worse casebacks, not amazing though. A little bit of dolphin peaking through.

Well I popped into The Counting House (Wetherspoons) in George Square, Glasgow late yesterday afternoon and left three pints and several hours later with this Seiko SLA017.
A fine fellow member and friend (MFB Scotland) and I agreed to a trade and this is what I ended up with. It’s a full set and has been well looked after. I don’t think I’ll bother trying it on the bracelet.
I wasn’t able to appreciate the beauty of the dial in the artificial light of the pub and then the train home, but in today’s winter sunshine the dial is pretty special indeed.
