My grandad was a Paratrooper in the latter part of the WW2 based in Africa with the 6th Airbourne Division and later still based in Palestine with them. Would he have had one of the dirty dozen watches issued to him or did they use something else in Palestine?

He might get issued with a watch if he was a section commander or above if he was a Tom very unlikely.
