I love it mate. Just love it. It's hard to quantify but basically it's as if Seiko made a 60s diver using modern techniques but ensuring the watch is accurate to the 60s original. So it's like a super high quality vintage watch and a better execution that the Omega trilogy attempts I've owned. The indices are really well finished and the watch exudes superb light play kind of like what you get on a brilliant diamond but in this case with a sepia hue. It's wonderful. Some people have compared the finishing with Grand Seiko. I've owned many GS and they are IMHO finished to a higher standard than this but then again this is a pure tool diver not a dressy piece which is where GS differentiates itself.
Re SLA019 it's a lovely watch but notreally comparable as the SLA025 is made to a much higher standard and is far more retro in style and feel. But it is pricey. It is also a definite step up in quality from the SLA017. It is a tall bugger though so any less than 7 inch wrists and don't bother.
