Good price at Barcelona watch seller, trustworthy?

I inquired about a watch he is offering on chrono24 and had him send me some more photos of the box and papers that were not pictured on chrono24. I got a reply with the photos and the info that they have 10% off on all watches.

With this 10% off the watch would be by far the cheapest I've seen around.

The watch could be purchased via Chrono24 "Trusted Checkout" with payment via escrow deposit.

Does anyone know the seller or has experience with this process and knows how safe it is? As the price for the watch would be so good, I am seriously considering to try it.

Not sure how it works but my two pence is I'd be scared to be the cheapest anything where I couldn't see the item before and it there was an issue the seller was international.

Only time I've done that was for an SRP777 (on Chrono24 with trusted checkout) which as a low value item I wouldn't lose any sleep if it all went wrong.

Sth. tells me to stay away... hence my post, if anyone knows them. It all seems a bit weird to me. Probably there are ways to cheat this chrono24 escrow service?

No reviews on the site and the street view doesn't appear to be a watch dealer...

Afer a whois lookup and a discrepancy of addresses of the chrono24 shop and the website I deceided to stay away. Probably some hacked account. Sth. smells fishy.

Also domain was registred on May 22nd of 2019. So this is another huge alarm sign.

Pity though as a 2009 unmolested 116400GV with box and papers for 5300 minus 10% would have been quite awesome.

If that started with a 4 it might be interesting but with a 5 too much risk. Rather pay a fair but low price somewhere like here and enjoy it. If you can get for on/around the watchfinder offer price you're still coming out on top.

There’s still the 2012 GV in SC at £4800. That seems a better deal to me. Spend the extra £500 on a service and you’re good to go.

Not that the one on SC necessarily needs a service yet.

It would be EUR 5.300 minus 530, so EUR 4.770, but I deceided that it will be probably dodgy.

Yeah I saw it, that was actually the reason why I looked in chrono24 for prices. The 5.300 was Euros though. So it would have been 4.770 Euros.

So around £4240 then. Seems too cheap to me.

FWIW, I think the one on SC is a good price.

Doesn't add up. I asked him to explain the mentioned concerns. If he doesn't come up with a very good explanation I'll report him to chrono24 to hopefully save someone from being ripped off.

I think that's actually new. In chrono24 all offerings were actually removed after I messaged them. I never heard back about my request for new pictures. Definitely a scammer. Hope some people were saved.

The scam is obvious.

Inconsistencies in style of pic for the listings on their website is a dead giveaway.

Borrowed pics for sure.
Otherwise all listings would have similar shots.
