Thanks! I am quite impressed with my wife to pick a decent looking watch that I like! Plus,it has been engraved which is a nice touch. Not my most expensive watch but this one is a keeper.

Tudor Black Bay Steel on the Green cloth NATO it comes with. Purchased with bracelet but I don’t think it will get a look in. A little brother to go with my 79220b blue ETA. Nice to have both versions.

Very pleased so far. :)
Thanks :D it's the Moser Pioneer Center Seconds (in Steel).
Lusted for one after seeing the basel launch, then I was lucky enough to sit in on a meeting with Moser and had a chance to get up close with a variety of different pieces, which pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Recent arrival swopped onto the fabric strap today. Much prefer it to the leather surprisingly.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ce65f8d9ec.jpg

The depth to that dial is stunning
Had the pleasure of seeing the moser. It's one of the nicest dials I've seen. Blooming lovely watch that everything is just right on imo.
^
Apart from the domed crystal, making the watch 14.7 mm thick, perhaps?
Every time I see a Moser I just think how they seem to understand 'less is more' and execute it so very well. The Pioneer is a case in point and maybe a contender for the perfect one watch with a variety of straps, a Moser bracelet would be interesting too. Waaay nicer than the Aquanaut imo :smug: Maybe it's time to consolidate or invest....
Big thank you to GOAT for the heads up, and arranging the purchase of this one for me.
Currently loving it!I had the previous ETA version a while ago, but for some reason I prefer this one.
Also the newer Matt style box, rather than the old piano black gloss box which I possibly preferred.

Very nice IWC
I'll get a thread up with some decent pics and some thoughts.
I'm not being coy just the weather has been garbage and i really want to get pics of the dial in all its glory :)
As for wearabiity, i measured the case with calipers quickly last night, and it was around 10.2mm (case), 14.4mm at the peak of the domed crystal. (exact figures i have written down at home)
Unlike something like a black bay where your eye is drawn to the slab sided ness of the case, the crystal is virtually invisible (ar coated)
As for diameter, 42.8, so its on the larger side for a "dressy sports" watch, with the thin bezel and stark contrast of the bright case v dark dial it does draw your focus to the dial and its size (i'll get pics vs, some other 43ish size watches)

I forgot to add this to the thread over the holidays... A surprise present from my wife. Love it, with a great strap as well. The quality over all really impressed me!

How tastes change.
Years ago I never would have bought a two tone watch. Although I did love a nice Seiko SQ100 more than 25 years ago.
Lately I've bought a few, and I really like the CeraGold colour of the Omegas, which also suits my pasty white skin better than yellow gold.

I picked up this a few weeks ago but had to sort out a half decent strap as it has fixed bars. Nice Art Deco feel to it and at 35mm with a very thin bezel it wears quite large for a 1930’s watch. I think it deserves a more special strap and some better photography - it really isn’t as grainy as it looks.

Very nice - I like the lugs (although perhaps not there "fixedness"). What strap did you go for?
Thanks Alan. This one is a cheapo mock croc special salvaged from the back of the draw and given a bit of polish, that happened to be open ended. I'm thinking of having something made, maybe Martu. I'll wear it for a bit and try to make my mind up. Oddly one of Eddie's aviator straps looked quite good, something about the white stitching I think.
I have one other Helvetia with the same lug design, also fixed, although smaller overall. They look like a transitional stage between trench watch style wire lugs and more modern 'horns'.

Latest one to join the fold following a trade with Thom. My only bi metal watch and I'm loving it with the brushed links.
