I really can't understand why Seiko don't put that type of crown on all of their watches, it's such a small thing to do for them yet it improves the aesthetics and bumps the appearance of quality up a notch or two.
Other cheaper, lesser brands often do it, I just don't get it, but then, I don't get Hardlex over sapphire either. :dontknow:
Gorgeous watch, btw. https://forum.tz-uk.com/images/icons/icon14.png

Hi accuracy quartz perpetual calendar GMT, titanium, 10 year battery. Just serviced by Seiko UK. Best worn in good light though due to less than perfect dial contrast...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f041fddf5b.jpg
Hi,
It was £137 plus VAT for a full "vintage quartz" service. This included, new battery, changing a PCB and reassembly of the date wheel drive as both were damaged or out of alignment. They also replaced a worn springbar and pressure tested. No case of bracelet finishing was done.
Kind regards,
Sam

The "old" Sumo...IMO, the bezel font and hands are what made this watch iconic (when comparing to new model)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c6e6115e44.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...81858b81d1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b57b54b120.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...42d81b1d81.jpg

This Titanium 7T62-0BZ0 arrived yesterday.
It was in pretty filthy condition and the top pusher wasn't working at all, but a wash, a new sapphire crystal and a bit of fettling later it and it is almost there - the top pusher just needs a little bit more work, though it stops/starts and allows the re-setting of the sub-dials already.
It is sitting alongside its green stable-mate, a 7T62-0AH0 (SNA027)
I love the ability with this movement to use the alarm sub-dial as a second time zone.

Just picked this up today

Agreed - it is probably my favourite Seiko.
I always keep an eye open for them in the hope of picking another up. The Titanium version came from SpeedTimerKollektion, and although I already had a spare working 7T62 movement lined up (from a Pulsar) it looks like I won't be needing it. So I can save that for another!
I find the 7T62 far more practical (and readable, at least when it comes to the date!) than its predecessor the 7T32:

The later 7T92 version (in this case a 7T92-0BB0) not only lost the second time zone capability but also saw a significant drop in quality:

Photo from last year,, I've recently gone a bit meh with regards to chronographs preferring diving watches instead, this maybe the only one I keep. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b502d7b17c.jpg
Before joining the two pieces of the bracelet together, drop the collar into the hole in the centre section I.e the male piece. Then join the two pieces together as you normally would and refit the pin as you normally would.
The collar keeps the pin secure in the centre section.
As you say, it’s such a versatile watch it would be a shame to see it go.
I have replaced the domed crystals on both of mine with flat AR sapphires (30mm x 1.5mm, though they would also take a 2mm) which I think really suits them.
I’ve done almost the reverse to you, in that my last few watches have nearly all been chronographs - this Seiko, a Citizen, the Victorinox that I wrote about in Mods & Wreckers, and the Pulsar that I bought for the spare 7T62 movement.
New to me SKX013, perfectly sized, well used (by someone else). Was considering modding crystal and movement etc but after wearing this watch for a week, I actually like the faded dial, scratched case and hardlex! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3abf4caf64.jpg
7C43 from 1991.
