Very productive :eagerness:
Moving on......
This is lovely and definitely different, in a good way. Hope the wait isn't too arduous :peaceful:

One day in and I'm really enjoying the P01. Very comfortable on the wrist.

Just took delivery of this . https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...24c94eec4d.jpg
The link at 12 o'clock locks it and needs to be lifted up to alter the bezel. The one over 6 o'clock is just a cover.
I was one of them, Ken :eagerness: I think most of us were waiting for the Sub to be announced, and when this fugly thing was released instead, it got a kicking.
The bezel is locked in place by the 'clamp' at 12. It releases the bezel when you press on the marked area. It then becomes a standard 60 click bi-directional bezel. The one at six doesn't move and the bezel moves freely under it. The purpose is just a locking system...
Thanks. Only time will tell if it plummets or not. I care neither way, as I'm a fan.
Picked this up this week

Well Poland to my wrist in less than 24 hours. If that doesn’t tell you something about EU membership I don’t know what does. Anyway less politically here are some wrist shots.

The dial is so striking in person going from what looks like a flat black to showing the horizontal striations when they catch the light.
It’s amazingly thin for a big date dual time watch too wearing quite small belying it’s 42mm diameter.
The clasp feels very delicate but is pretty robust. A double deployant with unequal length sides with both friction and spring locking.
Everything about this thing screams quality.

Fresh from SC thanks to MartinMW
Had one in 2016 when they first came out but wasn't for me at the time so I sold it. Funny how your tastes change.

Sourced an older bezel insert from a forum member so my '94 Pepsi certainly looks a little older.
Was this:

Now this:

And in case we want to switch back, there's an easier way. With its older brother:

New arrival PAM25 in titanium. Been looking for one in good nick for ages. Getting quite hard to find now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fbcfced758.jpg
Is that taking a new bezel insert off and putting on an old one or having 2 of, effectively, the same watch, or both? First rule of watch collecting is never try to rationalise watch collecting! The bezel insert was easy, it's a '94 watch and i'm trying to get it back looking like a '94 watch. I think this insert is still possibly on the cusp of being period correct, possibly slightly later, so i may have to look add another but for now it adds some warmth and character (all IMO of course). Having 2 of one watch, well why not. :eagerness:
The bezel. Haha at one point my wife suggested all the watches in my watch box looked identical, and I couldn't disagree so I get your second point.
I can kind of see where you're coming from regarding the bezel, I guess I'd rather the original bezel age with the watch rather than make it look more marked up intentionally if it were mine. But again as you say no good to try and rationalise all we do ;)
Black Friday pick-up from Spinnaker, arrived yesterday. I’m quite pleased with it...

I've seen a few Spinnakers and never thought very much of them, but that's really nice. A lot of microbrands tend to get one or more design elements badly wrong, but everything about that is spot on. The hammered dial texture is really cool and gives it a lot of extra depth.
My only niggle is a personal aversion to Mercedes hands on anything that isn't a Rolex. I am slightly tempted to pick one of these up and try to source some Sinn/B&R-style pilot hands to mod it. I think those could work well with the numerals (which I really like a lot), as long as they match in proportions etc.

Agreed on the SD, absolutely lovely.
I’ve got this coming from Belgium. I’ve had my eye on it for a while but decided to buy it today to celebrate getting a new job. It’s a 38mm watch with a landeron 48 movement. Just love the way it looks.
Dial is signed ‘Tollet’ which is amusingly similar to ‘Toilet’

Marvellous Tollet ped. Loving the lugs and handset.
That SD is tasty.
Thanks for the nice comments on the seadweller
Its a 91 and the pip looks a bit lighter from photo but is same colour to the eye.
It was one of those watches that you unwrap and think wow so well pleased and I don't need to worry about marking it as its got the distressed look already.
I think this might just be the nicest watch I’ve had so far... oyster bracelet, smooth bezel Datejust 126200. 36mm is perfect in my eyes.

just bought this on ebay. I'd never heard of Anker before but really liked the look of it (it was described as a panda but not sure if it counts if the sub dials aren't round)
