Loving this thread. I have a landmark birthday next year and it's galvanising my resolve for a GMT Master.
I think it's a pre-comex after acquiring mine and doing some research I believed mine to be this too. Like you I'm not sure what it adds (if anything) but they are gorgeous pieces.Quote:

Newly acquired 16800 - Shame it's got a service bezel insert and strap's seen a bit too much polish, but came fully Rolex serviced from a reputable dealer so I'm a happy bunny!

I do love these threads, I'm a big Rolex fan always have been. I have just one at the moment and it's the best of them IMHO. I'm also on the waiting list for a SS Daytona. I will be buying a milgause next year too if I can decide on color of dial.
