Exactly a year on (& >1300 posts later) my opinion hasn't changed.

Yep.
Reading back, the claims of our resident hypers were outrageous in January.
One predicted Etherum to be at least £2000 by year end and another slightly more bold advocate thought that was being too cautious and reckoned £5000.
Around $100 now.
Still, another three weeks or so until year end. There might be a rally. :wink-new:
There was some full on pumping/promoting iirc.
^ cool first post, bro
Christmas Time in Crypto
It is Christmas time in crypto
And this year we are having a sale
So take up our offers and fill up your coffers
For a bargain you just cannot fail
It is Christmas time in Crypto
Even though we’ve discounted all year
But our red lights keep flashing and our prices still crashing
So we’ve offers galore, don’t you fear
It is Christmas time in crypto
So close off the year as a fan
But you better move fast, cos these offers won’t last
And we probably won’t be here in Jan

Santa rally 🎅
In all fairness, this is the first time BTC has shown some resilience in the recent sell-off, curious where the correction will go. Momentum looks good and Id be surprised if it wouldn't continue a little higher, setting up a perfect bull trap. Time will tell.
I bought some Bitcoin today @3,800 USD, missed my buy order at 3,100 by a few Dollars last week. Looking for a correction to 5,000 or 5,500, maybe even 6,000. Highly speculative rebound-trading, just for fun and small money only.
Oh you bastard: knowing *you* are losing money will dilute the immense pleasure I take each time the price slides further into the mire
Happy 10th birthday, Bitcoin.
Now, to the moon!

Pssst!
Hey you!
Yes, you!
Come a little closer, I have an interesting story for you.
Sweden has just decided they get rid of their currency and will adopt a cryptocurrency instead. I alone know which currency it is, and I will tell you if you promise to keep the secret. If you invest 250 pounds today, you will be a multi-millionaire before next year. Want to know how?
Go here.
Thank me later.
Hilarious. I particularly like these two nuggets of information written right next to each other:
Current price of one of Sweden's official coin is only 0.91€, small investment of 250€ will buy you 274 coins.
Famed hedge funder turned crypto-investor Michael Novogratz says: "Sweden's coin could be at 5,000€ per one by end of November, 2018"

"It has not been able to locate or secure its cryptocurrency reserves since Gerald Cotten died in December.
Cotten, 30, had sole responsibility for handling the funds and coins.
In court documents filed with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court on 31 January, his widow Jennifer Robertson, says the laptop on which Cotten "carried out the companies' business is encrypted and I do not know the password or recovery key"."
Who says conventional banks are all bad?!
The think I like most about that story is that he died suddenly in India and now there's $190 million missing.
Isn't it simply unbelievable? Thousands of punters are firm in their view that all banks are crooks and then quickly throw their money at a one-person-show with zero oversight, four-eyes principle or procedures.
You'd think that due diligence has never been easier than in the times of the internet, all info is there to see and digest - but it appears that most people are doing less sanity checks than ever before. Apparently it's good enough if somebody on Facebook tells you that this is where you should put your money?
I don't even feel sorry for them, such monumental stupidity deserves whatever comes of this.
It's ironic that holding the idea that all government and establishment activity is inherently suspect is a decadent luxury only made possible by living in a safe and well-regulated society.
If you think the sales corner sleuths are good, then you should follow some of the blockchain analysts when they get the bit(coin) between their teeth - https://blog.zerononcense.com/2019/0...itcoin-wallets

Do you think that was an experiment the creator thought might make a few quid quietly, but then was surprised to find it went viral?

Gra[c|t]eful exit or double down?
The last year has taught me not to be surprised at any price movement!
Thank god he cleared it all up for us, I was completely confused until I read his post.

"We don’t see many purple Lamborghini’s around here..."
I do sometimes wonder how the marketing people at Lamborghini feel about the association that seems to have built up between their brand and the more extrovert side of the bitcoin/cryptocurrency business.
Well, this is a surprise: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-47454528
There is a storm a-brewin', watch out. I wouldn't be surprised of a big move any time soon.
Just my good old gut feeling...
